Just scored!

Post by capea4 »

Made a purchase today!
Mps-2240, new in box, paperwork never opened, birth sheet, tools, mounting screws, never been mounted! Serial 243552
Ms-275, same condition, absolutely perfect, birth sheet, box etc. has a broken speaker terminal
Serial 2716743
Both have replaced ps caps with inch nichicon 5600
And last a perfect 2125, never been installed, just box and manual, needs to be re-capped
With plexi bottom serial 212928

It looks like No screws have ever been though the mounting holes

Wow, that is an impressive find!
Got "schooled" by member shawn k on May 10th, 2011...
No longer really "in tune" with the audio industry, and probably have not been for some time.
Hands down the forum's most ignorant member...
Don't even know what Ohm's law is...

If I had that 2240 in that shape I wouldn't have sold it. The 2240 is the second Phoenix amp I owned first was V1 M25. Nice Score!

Yea well you've gotta pay if you want collectors items such as those. I was just curious what to expect to pay for stuff as NIB as those.

What's the capacitance for the rail caps on the MS275? I scored one yesterday off of CL and I was quite surprised to find a large pair of 35v 15,000uf caps.

The MS275 is on the left and the MPS2240 is on the right.

That's exactly what's in the 2240, I don't remember what was in the 275, but my first thought was to have the 15000 installed in it.

I may keep them, or use them in another car. A good friend of mine got them for me, so he should get first dibs if they do get sold.after all that, you are next I swear :D

Well I definatly need something to power my sub, until that happens I'm not swapping over to the phoenix amps. Like I said, the Orion's are a pakage, 225, 150, 250, and 275.
I hope to find a sub amp soon, and do some trading for it.
