Anyone using the SX 6.5" coaxials?

Post by mr tibbs »

I'm looking for a drop in replacement for some older pioneer speakers in the doors on the HJ. They will be running off of deck power for now. If I do decide to build a system I will replace them with a comp set. So, is anyone using these off of deck power? How do they sound if so? I was hoping to get a little bit more mid range/mid bass than the current 5.25 pioneers are offering. Thoughts?

I'm contemplating the 6.5" Ti coaxes for rear fill myself.

or you can step up to these comps for a few bucks more, i have been running these for a few years now and they sound great for the price!

Were these used off of deck power or amped? I do like the look and sound of a comp set, I just don't know if it would be worth it running off of just deck power. :?:

they were started of my 35x4 kenwood deck power, now they are amped and do sound a ton better!

they did sound very nice off just the HU, i think you would be happy with either choice on those 2

Well, ok then. I will give these a hard look! Any other suggestions or listening impressions of the SX line run off of the HU before I pull the trigger?
