XS2500

Post by Nick666 »

Hi Guys,

I've a XS2500 that I'm repairing as the output stage on both channels was shorted. I know that the best way to repair these is to replace the whole output stage but I'm having problems sourcing the 2SC2389 in the differential input stage.

Does anyone know of a good sub for this transistor? Have seen a couple of posts of forums that a KSC1845 would be OK. Can anyone confirm?

Thanks

Nick

I sourced my 2389 from hkutsource, but if you need them in a pinch then you can use KSC1845. Am pretty sure I've used them before as I have a bin with KSC1845's in it but of course if I have the 2389's then I'd rather use those.

Always been a bit sceptical buying components from ebay but if you've recommended them I'll give them a go.

Thanks for the help.

I have a spare parts XS2500 if you need any hard to source parts. Some stuff is missing (transistors), but there's still a fair amount of components available.

Might have to take you up on this as I think I've another XS amp with a broken switch. Need to look through that I've got and I'll let you know.

Thanks. :)
