OFS-1

Post by LowandLoud »

Hey guys

Its been a while since ive been here, my laptop doesnt get much use anymore.
I have been given the opportunity to pick up an OFS-1 Optical Fiber System. NIB from 1988. I have not been able to gather any info other than 1 sold listing on Egay. That one belongs to Itchy. I have already asked him about it. Do any other phorum members have any experience with this piece? Any clue as to value?
If i do end up with it, it will stay NIB. If i dont, Itchy has dibs, lol.

Thanks

LL

As far as value, what was the ending price for the one on Ebay? That should give you a rough estimate give or take 10%.

Well, I ended up getting it. I offered him more than the listed one seeing as it is NIB. He accepted and we are both happy!
If anybody cares to see pics, who hasnt already seen them, let me know and i will transfer some over.

Does anybody else have any PG product this old?

You had a proto MS250? Did it have a slightly different heatsink? Any pics?

it did have a slightly different end plated and terminal power ground and speaker

but I sold it to the largest collector of pg items about 4-5 years ago
sorry I don't have pics of it
I had a couple other items but all gone now
my life and gear changed a lot in the past years
I no longer collect I just keep what im going to use
most of my gear is gone :liar:

I ask because i know a guy who just last week picked up an early production (1989) MS250. Where the fins on the heatsink are tapered on the sides, his is almost square. Only a slight taper.
