900.7 board question

Post by phoenix_rising »

Hi guys,

Just a quick trivial question that im sure someone knows on here...
Does the Ti900.7 consist of two of the smaller Ti series amps? or, does it have its own board design? I was also wondering whether anyones benched one or knows what to expect from the channels when its pushed hard i know the spec but dont know by how much it might exceed it... Any info would be cool. Cheers guys.

It's it's own design.

I was running it at 250x2 + 500x1 very nicely.

Is the amplifier board as a whole considered a good build.... i've always been dubious about all-in-one solutions producing good reliable power? Has the board got enough balls to keep it ticking over at max RMS.

Not to be a picky bitch but, there is no such thing as "max RMS". But I know what you were asking. Will it put out more than it's rated for, reliably? I don't know but I'd assume so.

That aside, it's like any other Ti amp. It wasn't "compromised" by making it 7 channel. That's not PG style, baby!

Size/weight alone should tell you that bastard has some serious "guts".

JDM version? Is that a fancy name for the AL finish? :)

JDM= Japanese domestic market. And yes, he is referring to an aluminum version. The TiAL amps were reportedly produced for Japan and other markets with high humidity in an attempt to avoid rust issues like this with the steel cases.... http://phoenixphorum.com/anyone-know-wh ... t3059.html
