You might save $150 per cap by twisting a few screws. It's definitely worth the look!

so where do we stand with this...
just so folks know this wouldnt be like a one time shot (at least i dont think so)
meaning I dont think it is like something where we would only have one go at it.
I am thinking of calling Kev (or is it Ken), and getting mine for the 150.00 anyone else like to get in on it now, and when i call i can check to see if at later time others are needed if we can do that???

and if anyone wishes to get in, and it turns out just sending money to me, and having it a one shop deal/process w/ me ordering, send money to me via paypal as a gift, so we dont get charged 3/4% for the transfer. yeah?

OR shall I wait just one more day to gather more stragglers... as maybe the more the merrier?? I dunno... not sure it would even matter really.

Guess it doesnt matter so much, as anyone could order (as far as I know anyways), but for the over seas guys, and different time zone guys whatever, maybe call tomorrow afternoon??? or run with these 4 here (Stipud, TiECS, me, and possibly TRL)???

did they change anything so this should not happen again?
if not are these $150 replacement just old stock?
I would just hate to see some of you guys that are collecting and never using them to run into the same problem in a couple of years..

^^^^^^^^^^^^ WELL YOU KNOW IT IS A LEGITIMATE QUESTION ^^^

BUT if you guys look/notice have a look at the tracking info... shows it was shipped from Chicago???? ALUMAPRO is in Oregon isnt it or washington... SO i think they might just have had them shipped from mfg??? i dunno, but kinda weird....so/but that might be indiccative that these are new, but whether or not the problem was/is fixed, might have more to do with technology itself. Meaning that caps just sitting around (like these) as displays seem to be the most vunerable for the leakage, versus ones that are used on a daily or at least regular basis... so if we now use them, it might be best, but prolly wouldnt just buy to have them sitting as a paper weight, as they could easily continue to do that and hold that function w/o getting the modules. RIGHT? i dunno

BUT funny that the point of origin was/is chicago????

if it was me I would use them
yes that is very differnt so they are not made in house??
you might want to get more info as you can do dirrect next time and save people time/ more money(just a thought)

The one 1 I am replacing was never used when I bought it last year (was on display at a shop), and sat in my basement till I opened it to see the trouble (after reading this thread).

I will be using it once I collect everything for my install.
