I thought the way the numbers went they started a new set of serial numbers with each day? Meaning that you do not have the 25th unit ever made as much as the 25th one made that day.

That's how it was for the limited edition and later models. On these it started with a code similar to the model:
2500 = 25xxxxx
2125 = 21xxxxx
And so on.

Sweet to see that serial #10. I think I know where you got that amp from.

Got struck with a serius case of nostalgia
I recently bought Outlaw 1426 way over here in Sweden.
It's in decent condition, but i'm going to replace the caps before i try it out.

I would recommend NOT trying it till you do the caps...

Haha thats what I said "going to replace the caps BEFORE i try it out" ;)
But thanks anyway, would't dare to after reading all these posts about them blowing up.
I have opened it up to have a peek, and yepp they have started to leak.
Have also bought a old Genesis Four Channel, i'm going to check those caps to just to be safe.

Joerg doesn't seem to have been back in a while.

When he does, jot me down for owner of fas #79 with ax406 and a white zx950. The 950 is in rough shape but I'm gonna restore it back to its former glory.

Still drives me insane seeing limited run amps getting abused... they made like 120 ZX950s in white and black.. that's just sinful!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Argh.

How bad a shape is it in? The Route66 I got was put through the ringer too.. lol.

It was in rough shape. The zx500 side had been shorted and was damaged and the case was in rough shape. I got a donor zx500 and swapped the board in. Luckily it's the right rev number and none of the boards have serial numbers so nothing different between the boards.

The paint I cleaned up quite a bit but I'm gonna see if an auto body shop can touch up the paint without messing up the silk screening. If not im prepared to have silk screens made and have it freshly powdered.

Here's a quick pic. I'll add more later..,

AHHHHHHHH! The abuse! My eyes, my eyes!

Wow, that sucks.. someone shorted something!

I should post my beat up Route 66. I think I'll do a nice paint job vs powder coating it. Getting the graphics on it is the hard/tricky part. I got a quote of 325$US to redo the powder coat and graphics.. it's not a bad price in theory, but the Canadian dollar sucks donkey balls and turns out to be around 450$ CDN plus 2 way shipping.. ouch.
