Speaker wiring and amp gains settings
Heres the products
JL audio 12W6v2 dual 4ohm voice coils wired one way its 8ohm and the other way its 2 ohm.
Amp Ti 600.2
My thought is to wire the sub in a 2 ohm state then hook it bridged to the 600.2
Then set the gain for one of two ways
sqrt(600*2)=34.63
sqrt(500*2)=31.62
Now my concern is that if I hook the sub up bridged to the amp that it will make it .5ohm and if thats the case then maybe I should hook the sub up 8ohm then bridged to the amp so it would be 4 ohm.
Let me know what you think or if this is all wrong how I should do it.

50 VAC Eric?!
So what about this amp do you need to tell us?
Are they more stout then we give them credit for?
You're our lab techy, so please explain.

50 vac really right now I got it at 31.6 and it sounds pretty good and the sub isn't getting pushed to hard and the amp is hot but not burning or going thermal.

Amps clip at the same point with no load, regardless of the load. 2 ohm mono will drag the rails down and make the amp clip sooner (maybe). With music which is dynamic this might not happen. With a long bass tone it probably will.
The only way to be sure is with an oscilloscope.
In my experience 75%+ of people set their gains beyond clipping using the "by ear" method. So if you shot for 50V RMS mono, chances are you would still be running it lower then most people, and it would likely not clip except for the most difficult of tracks.
I would try it first at 50V and listen to it. If it does not sound right or is too loud, then turn it down.

my ti600.2 is bridged @ a 2 ohm load w/ an rsdc12 hooked up with the gain all the way down but w/ an 8 vrms/ 14vpeak balanced signal going into it and its never gone into thermal mode and it freakin pounds its ass off. I think ull should be good to go man

I have a pretty good VM
Radio is a Kenwood DNX7120
I have a TLD66 sitting there if I were to need it.
Right now at a 60hz tone I get a reading of 34.62 and it sounds great and I know I'm not pushing the subs or the amps to hard because after playing alot of bass songs for about an hour the amps were just warm.
I have a lpl but I haven't hooked it up yet and I have a bas cube but I haven't hooked it up yet either. I didn't want to just plug it all in and beat on it and blow something up.
