Your Brahma might be rocking if...

Post by Pillow »

Your wife is watching DVDs upstairs on the TV and you're in the basement playing with the Brahma in a 8' ported box... And the DVD skips!!!

No shit, she comes yelling at me because the bass is screwing up the DVD player!!!

For the record this is the first time the DVD has ever skipped. And it is not an el cheapo POS either. Plus the normal HT sub is a 10" Elemental Designs and it is 3' away from the DVD player and I have never had a problem.

Also the Brahma is roughly 25' away diagonally from the DVD player in the basement... Not like the Brahma is right under the DVD player.

Yes, I did get up early and built a new HT box for the Brahma. I did get snowed on cutting the MDF in the driveway with the table saw.

8' cu ft of love and a massive 6" PVC port. Glued, screwed, biscuited, and Liquid Nailed. It is big.

Have fun pissing off the wives in the blizzard guys!

I suck... No video today.

All this snow really killed my day. Granted I did get the box setup with the HT and it is rockin'. Even with a little amp on it.

The wife of course is bitching because there is an 8' cu ft box sitting in the living room. Once it is sanded and painted I hope it blends...

... Instead most of the neighborhood kids came over and are currently watching a movie. Seriously 6 kids for a sleepover!

26" of snow! The most I have seen in my life.

I am in Warrenton VA, which is a suburb town of DC. I should add that to the profile.

My cousin and her husband live in Saxe VA, is that close to Warrenton?? Apparentley the other day he couldnt drive to work because of the weather you had down there. 26" is the most?????Really??? The biggest dump Ive seen out here on the W.Coast of B.C (1 hour E of Vancouver) was almost 3.5-4 feet in close to 2.5 days back in 95-96 or so, and there was drifts out in the outkirts of town (the country...lol) all you could see of a 2 story house was the roof!!!!!!! No kidding, it was the coolest storm Ive ever seen pass through here, and yes, our little city was shut down for days aswell, and we actually have a snow removal budget for plows and such, and they couldnt even keep up. I heard on the news Washington has no snow removal budget, they just let it melt???? Thats kinda neanderthal if you ask me.

... I have no idea where Saxe is. What big town is it near?

I think what you heard is that Washington and VA are out of snow plowing/salting budget for the year. Granted we have had a ridiculous amount of snow falls this year.

3-4'!!! That sounds great in theory, but damn does the snow ever melt! That is a lot of snow to remove. That is the reason I do not live in Canada or Alaska. ;)
