this is what I was told.....

the 10's have about the same box specs. anything .5-.7 will make them bang.

and thats sealed....

was told they work better in sealed...

your telling me to go sealed? in .5-.7 a piece?
let me restate my situation.
i know for a FACT ported is louder... and they currently bang pretty good what i have them in(ported)... but it doesnt make sense to me with the specifications. i was looking for people that have gone away from the ported specs and tried a bigger box.

ok....vote....

A: build one to pg's manual sq spec and see if its indeed fucked...

B: plug the T/S's into bass box pro 6.0 and see what it recommends and build that one and test...and report back

maybe....or maybe they have better software and their box design is actually amazing and we are fools for doubting them. so smart that even bass box pro is inferior...

so...as i'm playing with bass box i am discovering why their specs seem odd...

bass box recommends a port thats a 3.9 x 3.9 square and a length of....wait for it...67.75 inches....

well thats why pg's port is 1.5 in diameter....to drop the length down to a more reasonable 7.5 length.

.87cf

of course, the box would have to be way bigger to add a 67inch long port IN the box and still have .87 left over
