I have a NIB roadster 66 that I am thinking about putting into my civic anybody tell me how this amp is for sound and power output ?
I have a set of xenon 6.5 front a set of 8" kicker cvr8 (wanted pg but could not find at the time) for the rear.
I also need to know what would be the best 12" sub to use with the amp.

bruther has used one in his install...check it out if you havent already!
maybe he can comment on its performance?
the roadster 66 should push a 12" rsdc very well.

I have been considering buying one as well, they look to be fairly solid amps and great for a LE amp to actually use. I don't know what bad things you will hear about them honestly...

I really do not want to hear anything really bad about them but I prefer to know now before I waste any time on it.
I have been trying to find a rsdc122 but have not had much luck yet maybe I'll post in buy/sell later if I don't find something.

You can find RSDCs at onlinecarstereo.com...
Wodering about this amp Too...
Really good looking, and also great SQ accordingly to some reviews.

great amp!!!
Really like my RSd's. You would have a hard time telling the difference in comparision to the Ti line in regards to SQ. Also the same guy who had a hand in designing the MS serie's worked on the RSd's as well. I researched these amps (RSd's) quite a bit and could not find any bad reviews at all. If your gonna run a simple modest power sorta system it's a great amp with sweet looks. I'm thinking about buying one just to match my Roadster limited edition Dickie's shirt i got from Bogart...
there was a great review in Car audio and electronic's from an issue in 07 I think.
hell just go buy one you won't be dissapointed at all.

I have been running the Roadster in my car for over a year now and love it. It is running a set of RSD6.5cs up front and a RSDc124 subwoofer and it has plenty of power for me. It sounds comparable to my previous setup in that car with a Ti500.4 actively running the components and a X600.1 running the RSDc sub (see page 1 of my install for those pics). The best part about it is the lack of fan noise compared to the Ti500.4 during quiet music passages or changes in songs.

I've been meaning to do this, but have been extremely lazy in doing so. I will try to remind myself to get the manual scanned and post it by next week.

I have one somewhere, but until I find it, you can go here:
http://download.phoenixphorum.com/Manua ... fiers/RSD/

and download the manual for the 600.1 which is the sub amp inside the Roadster66 and the 500.4 is the 4-channel amp inside the Roadster66.

I found 2 rsdc122 anybody think that the sub side of the roadster is/is not strong enough to run both speakers at a total of 2ohms?

For sure....... That amp will beat them pretty decently but only give 'em 300 watts each.......

what would be the most significant advantages/disadvantages of running 3 rsdc 10" opposed to 2 rsdc 10" from the same amount of power - say 1000 to 1200 watts?

the advantage...about 1 db's...

disadvantage....losing another .8ish cubicfoot of space in your trunk and gaining 20lbs

I guess if you run 3 amps for 3 subs it might be louder Buy I don't really know.
That's what I would do to run 3 subs.

I went to pick up my roadster 66 that has been at a friends place for a year now in NY and I have not until today seen it and almost fell on my ass when i saw the number on the box.
Should I use it or keep it in my collection ?
