Can you put an RSD 12 in a bigger box?

I told my installer it needs 1.8 sealed. Now I have a big trunk and he wanted to make it fit perfectly in the back and said I could make it bigger.

So an I? how woulld it sound?

Errin is running his at 2.....

dont know beyond that.

couldnt he make the box shallower and longer to make it stay around that size, but still fit?

RSD needs about 5 cubes for a Q of .707....which would probably be peaky in a car but if you have any EQ you can fix that.
Can one send others to war if hes not willing to go himself?

id do that....or add more bracing. More bracing the better, make sure he braces the box all otu otherwise go to someone else.

Or make the box the recommended 1.8 cu.ft. and just panel the rest off to delete the excess space.

Its a very prestigious shop, he knows what he's doing.

I just told him to make it shallower

West Coast Customs is not prestigious, they just got famous on TV.

My brother has used this place a few times before when installing his cyclone and bandits. I wish I had pics of the install. He's also friends with the owner so Im not worried

Im just getting a very simple install, nothing crazy
