Well I just dont like the fact that out of 62 volume 55 is what POUNDS and even 62 while there isnt much volume increase from 55 is still crystal clear, I feel like the is still room to go.

But i definetly need to play with the gains since low volume songs dont get loud.

I have the same situation. I have an Alpine HU which go up to 35. I can crank it up to about 31-32 and still be clear and the gains on my amps are all turned down. That's for my fronts only. My sub amp is a different story.

I did it on accident, I got scared cuz I smelled smoke. I was afraid I was going to start a fire in my car. :oops: :oops:

You should be able to nearly max your volume control without distortion, this is a sign of a good balance of gain and signal.
I think we've established that "Ka Ka" and "Tukki Tukki" don't work.

do you have a sublevel or non-fader level countrol (not the bass gain on the deck)

you can increase that to give your amp a little extra input voltage
my ex-girlfriend said "its car audio or me"
i've had tougher choices at a soda machine...

I boosted up the SLA (sound level adjustment) over the weekend and im pretty happy with the results.

xenon amps like hot signal. im running ~10 volts to mine.

do you have a dmm? how many volts are you actually sending the speaker?
