RCA's???

Post by mr tibbs »

So, I'm about to buy a but load of these for my new install. Anyone know where to get good ones for a good deal? I would like to go with something like Knukonceptz for all of my wiring, but I think I would end up paying upwards of $200 or more for my wiring and I just don't think I want to do that. Anyone have any recommendations?? :? :(

Any recommendations on brands? I'm not looking to break the bank, but I don't want to go to cheap either.

I have a grip of RCA's................LMK
I think we've established that "Ka Ka" and "Tukki Tukki" don't work.

Well, I think I'm gonna need about 3 pair of long ones (maybe 15-20 feet or so), then probobly a whole shit load of short ones. So far the plan is this:

HU to TLD66, then to the EQ, then to an x-over (maybe), and from there I have to go to a bass cube then to the x2000.1, and on the other side I will go straight to the x100.4 for the front stage. I'm sure I missed something in there.

I have thought about that, but I'm not so hot with a sloder iron.

Maybe I'll give it a shot. Any recommendations on where to get supplies?

I bought PG 800 Platinum series 2 channel 20 feet like $37 from Amazon.
I can't compare with other brands but these look good.

RCA's

Post by jmacdadd »

I have some new old stock Streetwires Zero Noise 2.0's that are pretty nice. They are purple with silver/gold ends. I believe I have 15', 6', 3', and some 1.5'. I also hand make cables all the time. I have hand made in black, teal, and blue with black cable pants and either heavy duty or light duty ends that look very professional. I have them in other colors depending on if you want jacketed or straight twisted pair with your choice of any 2 colors I stock. Best wishes for the gear you need!

Why you say that Vin? I have 3 of them, is there something I should watch out for?

Those are the tightest clamping ends that i've ever used. To make it worse, the ends are smaller then normal.....its a bitch to work with.

Allrighty, after much reading I think I'm going to try to make my own. Why, well because I'm stupid and I want to give it a shot. :idiot: Actually, I think it will look a lot nicer to have all matching RCA's and have them be all the right length rather than have the extra spooled up somewhere out of sight.

So, anybody know where to get some cheap RCA ends?? I think I'll get the cable from Partsexpress, and I'll try to find some techflex and heatshrink somewhere else for cheap. I'm thinking I need somewhere around 32 RCA ends, so I would like to only spend maybe $2.00 per end max. Any ideas?? :?

I don't know if this is what you want or not, but Parts express has a bunch of different kinds and price ranges

Well I have some PG ends as does Fowler (10 pairs IIRC) from his BOC he bought...........offers accepted.

They are the 600 series ends.

No problem man, I think I'll just buy the ones that Vin pointed out. Thems look good enough for me! Now all I need is to get some cable, some Techflex, some heatshrink, a solder iron, and some solder. Anyone have any recommendations??

I have some (a lot) of cable picked out, but the damn seller won't give me any more info on it. I'll start a new thread about that.
