Hmmm... just like the Ti series, 18dB/oct crossovers on the A/B's, and 24dB/oct on the monoblock. Why is that? In terms of actual slope, it's not a big deal, but 18dB filters have worse phasing properties than 24dB.

Other than that, I can't nitpick at all! Would definitely love to get an Elite.4 to replace my Ti500.4

18dB is not set in stone, we may adjust this later based on listening and performance testing with full range drivers.

Will the Elite.4 and .2 be bridgeable?

Guesstimated MSRP?

Will there be a somewhat limited color edition like the ZPA's (75% black, 25% white) and ZX's (75% white, 25% black)?

Any "monster" versions in the making/works, like the ZX950?

I'm a bit worried now. I'm sure I'll want these over my Audison.

Of course, bridgeable. Stable to 2 ohms bridged.

MSRP? If you have to ask, then.... MSRP wasn't really a factor during the engineering and design process of these amps, they cost what they cost to build a bad ass amp which very few companies seem to want to do anymore.

Black only heatsink and plexi.

No monster versions in the works. Frankly, all the crazy parts we could use are already in the these. The output devices are insane for a car amp.

Fresh off the AP bench testing, here is the upper freq response from the Elite.2.

Image

Elite stays within 1dB out to 50kHz, according to CEA standards its within 3dB past 90kHz!!! Not that you will ever hear that but...

Keep in mind most low cost amps begin to rolloff around 16kHz, higher quality amps around 20kHz.

Food for thought...

The msrp is listed on the first post ... And Morgan says these bad mother-shuckers start at $1200 and up.. oh Morgan in the past pg has done custom things on there amps for customers... Is this an possable... I have often woundered how an line of amps would sell if the customer could pick the color of the amp .... Say an blue amp to match an blue car ... Or red amp to match an red car ect ...

These amps got me very excited until I saw the power ratings for the 2ch.

I was thinking of replacing my Soundstream HRU.4 and HRU.2 with the Elite series. The HRU.2 is 500x2 @ 4ohms and is in the same chassis as the HRU.4. Why couldnt the Elite.2 also have similar output?

If you want a big number printed on the outside of the box, Elite is not the right amp for you.

If you want an amp that has phenomenal sound quality is underrated and delivers TONS of dynamic headroom (ala MS, ZPA, etc) you have come to the right place.

On a side note, the efficiency of all class A/B amps are pretty similar. That SS amp uses a heat sink nearly the same size (I am guessing less mass) as Elite.2, but the amp supposedly makes twice the amount of power as Elite.2. I can tell you from lifetime thermal testing the Elite.2 (which has 13g per mm heatsink mass and temp controlled fan cooling system) that driving double the amount of heat energy into that size of heat sink is not ideal. So either that SS amp runs pretty toasty when driven hard, or it simply doesn't make that much power.

Not saying the SS is not a good amp, I would say its just targeted more towards PA/Car Audio crowd that loads up doors with bullet tweeters/mids.

Couple other advantages of the Elite amplifier:

- Birth Certificate that assures the amplifier exceeds rating by at least 10%
- Stable to 1 ohm stereo/2 ohm bridged
- Dual Package Sanken Devices
- Burr Brown Op-amps
- Monolithic Signal Capacitors
- Temp Controlled Fan Cooling System that is user controlled (off/on/temp sensing) on endpanel switch

Man, my wallet is fealing light already, going to have to tie it to a rock to keep it from floating away when these amps come out.
I am very excited for these.

Awe hell, if I can't find me a Clarion SSW1201 sub by then, then I just might have to get me a new PG 12" instead.
What's the power handling for the 12?

Real World, No BS Ratings:

1600w RMS / 3200w Peak.

• 60mm of Peak to Peak Excursion
• 3.0” Premium OFC Copper Wound Voice Coil
• Dual Long Throw Spider Suspension
• Woven Tinsel Leads
• Composite Material Hybrid Cone
• High Excursion CAE/CAD Motor Design
• Vented Titanium-Aluminum Hybrid Former
• One Piece Aluminum Plated Dustcap with Tri-Blue LEDs
• High Roll Butyl Rubber Surround

If you want a one note SPL wonder this is not your woofer.

If you want a woofer that crushes your kidneys when listening to AC/DC and hits the intricate notes of a complicated SQ track, then you have found the right woofer....
