[VIDEO] Breaking in the (2) Ti212D4's on a Ti21300.1 Amp

Post by Wigzter »

Just like the title says, I finally made a little video for you guys to check out my first self install in a first person view, kinda lol.

I'm still kinda breaking them in so they still have a ways to go I think before I turn it up anymore.

Check it out and enjoy! I'll do more videos later too when I do more upgrades.

My current setup in the sig.

Thanks! I appreciate it!

I don't, it's all stock up front. I just used a PAC Line Out Converter and a bass knob, tapped into the front left speaker and just ran RCA's to the back for the amp and subs.

It's Honda's "Premium" audio system, which consists of (2) tweeters and (4) 6.5" speakers...I have no crossovers for the speakers. Just whatever the receiver is running.

I was playing that at 28/40 Volume on the receiver and it taps out pretty much at 30-32 depending on the song before distorting. It actually sounds really good for a stock receiver and paper cone speakers. I might upgrade the factory speakers though if I go bigger with the subs. But for now, I think it's sounding great myself.

Sweet and awesome gear....wish I could say the same about the music lol.

Play some Lenny Williams or Beatles...something that won't offend my ears...lol.

Hahaha funny story about that. I was on my way home from work and I decided to make a quick video. I listen to most of my music on Rhapsody on my iPhone 5. So when I got back I was like "Shit, how am I going to record this and listen to music at the same time?"

I had no CDs in my car except for one, Slim Thug, lol. It's a really really old CD and I just decided to use that one because it sounded decent and was one of the cleaner songs on his CD, but anyways it was hitting pretty good so I just used it.

Def was not my first choice in music either, more like a last resort.

Welcome to the phorum bud  ...attached is the manual for the subs and will give you the info you need for box size / type. As far as wiring you have 2 choices with a single D2 sub ...it can be wired to either 4ohm or 1ohm ...I would go the 4ohm route as the subs are rated at 600wrms and 1200 peak ...I think I remember the sd1300.1 being rated at 650wrms at a 4ohm load.

Anytime bud ...I almost always run a sealed box as I listen to mostly metal and some rap / techno and want deep, tight, articulate bass  . Sealed boxes are more forgiving if the box specs are a little off, but a vented box has to be dead nutz on with very minimal gray area. Use at least 10-12g wire from the sub to the amp, wire the sub to a 4ohm load and make sure your settings on the amp are correct. Pretty easy to do, just need to take ur time and do it right, a little time spent setting it up properly makes all the difference in the sound quality ur shooting for.

I understand you very well. I thought that these subs you are more common than we do, and I thought prompt specifically what size and configuration to do a rap music
