Ti10d4

Post by Drock »

Anyone ever had the ti10d4 subs? ( old ones). I'm getting really annoyed with one of my subs. The tinsel lead on one coil is slapping the cone, it makes one hell of a noise when I play at mid to high volumes.

I tried to bend the the terminal connection a bit to take up some slack, but it wasn't enough.
Any other ideas?

This ever happen to anyone else?

Never had that issue on any of the old-skool TI subs I've ran or am currently running :? ...will need to take a look at mine and see what may be goin' on. Just looked at them and they seem to have a little excess slack in the coil wires, but since the cone and coil are attached you can either try and take out more slack or see if you can't use some type of heavy duty speaker glue to help hold it down to the spider  ...just my .02c

Thanks Bryan, I'll see if I can find some speaker adhesive. But I might have to take in to someone else.
Sub works perfect, but that slapping noise is driving me crazy. I'll be pulling it out tomorrow.
