Best setup for Ti212d4

Hello forum members,

I've bought a Ti212d4 subwoofer last year. It was always connected to a cheap 250 Watt RMS 4 Ohm amplifier. I've always had the feeling that the subwoofer was doing almost nothing compare to what it is capable to do.

Recently I've sold my car and I'm looking for a new Mazda MX-5 convertible.
To do things right I want to place my sub with a correct new amplifier, but which is the best one for my sub?

I also have the S400.4 amplifier, but I guess that's better for my mids and tweets, right?

I hope you guys can help me out!

Kinds regards,

Renedis

Edit:

And what is the best way to hook it up?
I've seen different types of installation methodes, but what's the best?

And the enclosure? size? vented/closed?
