selecting equipment for my build

Post by CK1991 »

my old van got totalled thanks to some asshat who fell asleep and crossed the center line. So I picked up a new van for work. 1994 gmc safari high top conversion and the stereo system ummm....sucks. old Kenwood HU (not horrible but probably getting chucked), factory (blown) front speakers and Kenwood BOTL whizzer 6.5s in back. I'm planning on putting components in the front doors and a sub either rear firing from the center console or sitting in the back behind the bed firing up or sideways (either way, there will be a spare tire next to it, so probably not the best place for it).
Amps and processors will be mounted in the hightop above the front seats.
System will be active using a PG215ix and audiocontrol 4xs
So let's start with the list of gear I have.
Tweeters
Jbl 1" titanium dome tweeters
Hitachi (I think) large magnet 1" textile domes.
1" klipsch tweeters from b2 synergy bookshelf speakers
Woofers
6.5" Rockford fosgate "the punch" audiophile mids
5.5" tang band w5-704d
6.5" klipsch from a pair of b2 synergy bookshelves
Subwoofers
1x 10" image dynamics IDQ10 v1 d4
2x Orion xtr3 10" svc 4ohm
3x hifonics Olympian warrior 12" svc (US made 8ohm)
1x early 00s kicker comp VR 12

Amps
PG m100 (recapped by Ricky)
Rockford fosgate 75x2 rms amp (us made circa 00)
Rockford fosgate 125x2 rms amp (us made circa 00)
Rockford fosgate "the punch" 150 (circa 1985) recapped
Orion cobalt 75x2 circa 00 (after they got bought out)
Ppi Sedona 200ix
Jensen 75x2 rms (circa 1985)
Jensen 20x2 circa 1985
Also heavily considering buying a PG xs6600 (6 channel) and bridging it down to make it a 4 channel for mids and sub to save on wiring and room

Note: van currently has 110 amp stock alternator. If possible, I would like to keep it and get by with just upgrading the wiring.
Pioneer keh9595 + deh80prs, Phoenix Gold xs6600 PG M10p, and some randon speakers in a van
