Hi, I'm new here and need some help. I have a Phoenix Gold M25 amplifier that I purchased from Italy about 1 year ago, I have had the unit installed in my car running my rear speakers with the gain set to minimum, running through a PG TX406, the Hertz HCX 130 speakers are rated at 60w rms. The system has been running perfectly until last Sunday when playing the system at a high volume I heard a loud bang (electrical sounding, very sudden). Since then the rear amplifier is distorting the speakers, I have tested the speakers and amplifier and have concluded that the problem is with the amplifier. The amplifier before I purchased it had the capacitors, etc. changed, I have popped the lid and can see no damage or burnt components, no burnt electrical smell, the fuse is intact and neither of the overload lights are on. Any ideas what the problem might be or what might have happened? Thanks in advance.

Toby
