MS2125 output

Post by smgreen20 »

So most know I've been a PG guy for 20+ years, but most of my knowledge with PG is in the ZX/ZPA lines.

I may acquire an MS275 and an MS2125. Both need the caps replaced and if I acquire therm I will do so myself. My question is this though. I see that the MS2125 is designed to run 4 ohms mono but is stable to 2 ohms. What is the real world output at both impedances? If I acquire them, I plan on using the 2125 and depending on my next truck, it will determine the weather I use one sub (4 ohms) or 2 (2 ohms) in the install. The sub/s are rated at 500w each but in a T-line box not all 500w per is needed. So I'm thinking that the 2125 would be perfect for what I'm after.

FWIW, the next truck I'm looking at is between a 2013-2014 Ford Raptor.
"ZPA's will have the same sound essentially as you get from the MS, they just feature a bigger shinier set of balls."
