Got my bass cube today thanks Jason. I plugged it in and it works but to be honest I get more bass response from the original. I'll play with it some more later to see if I can adjust it better.

I don't know what to tell you bro. I did not have an original to compare it to, but I know that all the remotes I made sounded just the same on my bass cube.

If you are unhappy with it, I don't have a problem refunding your money, just drop me a PM.

No sweat bro. I just didn't want you to be stuck with something if you wouldn't/couldn't use it. I know they are not the prettiest thing around, and I know they will be difficult to mount, but I figure they are better than nothing for the guys that don't have one at all. :D

*edit* I am currently using the prototype one I built first in my truck. Got the sob tucked in the center console on the end of a hardwired phone cable now. Hopefully I will work out a mounting solution in time.

Marko, the colors do not matter at all, as long as they are in the same order in each end. i.e. none of the wires crossing. When you have it done, if you hold the plugs end to end, the colors should match up on either side.

Did it make the international journey in good shape?

yes, arrived in perfect condition!!

so i just use a standard rj11 cable? does it have 4 or 6 wires? only reason i asked is i need to make some cables up for my zapco symbilink stuff and these are a simililar wire config.. i found this pic, you can just abaot make out the wiring is same on both ends.

Looking forward to mine. I have to buy a new cable, I believe the old custom one I have is reverse wired because PG tech said it was supposed to be that way.

When benching my Basscube , I used jsut a peice of scrap 4 conductor phone cord and it adjusted the levels just fine :) I think the cub and the LPL's take any 4 conductor phone line or it seems to work for me.

ummm... Will, "I have been sidetracked" qualify as a good excuse?

Seriously, I have been buried at work, when I have time at home I have been trying to get my house remodeled and pretty enough to put up for sale. My electronics time is limited to about 2 hours on my days off when my daughter is napping. I confess that I have been using that 2 hours for my selfish purpose of fixing my stack of PG amps...

I do have all of the boards cut for the remaining remotes. I have not cut them out of the single sheet of stock though. All they need is cut out, and a few hours of soldering. I also will have to round up all of the parts again, as they are scattered all over from my move from outside shop to basement shop...

I will have only 2 days off work in the next two weeks. After that, starting on the 24th, I should have 7 days in a row off. If one of you prompts me again at that time, I will do my best to finish them up. It was never my intention to drag this out this long. I do appologize.

Later,
Jason

Well, that is still in the box with the other stuff you shipped. I do however have a factory black enclosure I found, so I can copy it. Did you want a case for your factory remote, or for the new remote, or both? I am not going to promise a time line on that, my metal shop is so incredibly crowded right now that I risk fire with any "hot work". I have some major cleaning I have to do, and quite soon...

Oh I am in no rush...but if you can manage to make at least one for my original one...and one for yourself..and if you have a spare to make another for either an original or for the spare that you make...(whatever is easier to make as well as utilize the materials properly. Obviously if it makes sense to make original then definitely original, but if not, then maybe one original and the rest spares...etc...whatever works! :)
I wasnt trying to pressure you...just asking! :)

I am hopefully getting back at them today. I have only enough parts to do the ones accounted for in this thread, then I am going to redesign them again, and start another run.

speaking of that, i did goto the local electronics store today and found a 10k pot, that does pull up and down for off/on(.50 cents cost), but i dont think itll work b/c i noticed the oem has 6 soldered connections, where as this one only has 5
