Elite system for Corvette

I have a pair of PG Elite 6.5's in my kick panels and want to raise the sound stage by running another pair of Elite tweets and mount them on the windshield pillars.They are powered by a Xenon 100wpc amp using an Elite crossover.I know I should NOT run wires from the kick panel tweets up to these new tweets BUT will the new tweets be ok if I run new separate wires from the crossover in the rear to the new tweets? The reason: with the top down and running at freeway speeds and the side pipes roaring I have to push the amp to near clipping levels to hear the kick panel speakers. (I also have a pair of RSD coaxials in the rear but am using the internal amp on the Pioneer head unit to power them.The volume is turned down for these speakera as they just provide a little fill and the amp in the Pioneer is just not up to the job of providing CLEAN power)
