Has anyone used the "all purpose" resin by Bondo from Lowes? Its the same price as the polyester resin at my local fiberglass supply store, except Lowes is open on weekends

Was wanting to start a table project of mine today.

Eh, they didn't have it. They had 3M resin. That stuff is pretty thick, but it works.

Yeah, I wasn't looking for it specifically, just looking for some resin, and thats what was posted on the Lowes website. I ended up buying the 3M resin though. Shoot doesn't matter now anyways, I got all the stuff I needed, prepped it all, glassed it, then the wife got home... :naughty: She didn't think it was a good idea. She'd rather see it made out of wood.

for future reference...this stuff is the BUSINESS if you plan ahead and order it:

i had no idea how much harder i was working with bondo resin. this stuff has a much more linear cure time (less 0 to complete rock effect) and soaks into mat MUCH faster.

we used that at a the bays I worked at in scottsdale Having worked with that brand one day, and the bondo brand the very next day on my project the only difference I noticed was the color was a little different.
