Drock quick question, have you noticed how the bus bars in your pics look like they are touching? Mine also bend in a similar way but there is maybe 1-2mm gap, is it safe if they do touch?

Separate them then check resistance between the two buss bars...am sure its 0ohm meaning same trace so its safe for them to touch. If one buss bar is ground and the other B+ then I wouldn't feel comfortable having them that close to each other (especially when it looks like it was bent, so that they could touch intentionally). Again, I would check it with a dmm and if they don't have continuity between them then I would suggest placing either a small flat cardboard (folded) or something similar that is wedged that way you might not even need to glue it down.

I did notice that as well and I spread mine out a bit.
Also a bit of advice if your going to open the ti21600.5. "Be carefull taking off the plexy. The led board is attached to the plexy. the board has two small screws that mount the led board to the plexy, but only have a shitty little cardboard insulator stuck to the head of the screws. Well one fell off of mine without noticing and when I powered it up the circuit that monitors the status went poof.

Amp still works perfect, I just no longer have the status LEDs. ( the tri led's )

Ok kewl thanks for the advice, i'll be honest i rather not open it because i know i'll be paranoid about the screws if ive tightened them enough!

It's a very easy amp to open up. Just make sure those screws are insulated or they will short out on the heat sink

If I just want to remove plexi, do I need to remove the screws of the terminals? Or just the 4 main body screws?

The plexy was a bit hard to just slide out. I popped off the side caps and just unploughed the the led lead connection that goes to the main board.

Ok kewl, i will give it a shot soon. The power speaker terminal side is that plate that the terminal blocks screw into supported? I mean the terminal blocks i know they scre into the plate but is that plate actually supporting them? Just curious so i dont damage the amp if i tighten the power wiring too much

Once the end plates are off. the plexy with the side caps will just wiggle loose. Then just unplug the led cable and done.

Right i think i'll give it a go tonight, so theres no need to undo the screws that hold the terminals to the plate? Just undo the 4 main bolts on each side?

Did it yesterday, it was easier than i thought, i realised with a dmm that the two bus bars have continuity between them lol so was pointless seperating them. One annoyance i have is that i realised the two screws on the power terminal have been over tightened by whoever buikt it! I was just checking the tightness very lightly with allen key and i thought this is loose so i undid it and the thread came out! So some idiot at PG over tightened them obviously so will have to sort them out at sone point

I mean the Allen bolts that screw through the plate into plastic to give terminal support

What size do you reckon are the allen screws? Im trying to fine threaded inserts to fix the two plastc holes that have no thread?
