PGs RSD roadster 66 review in CA&Es new issue.

Post by smgreen20 »

In the April 2008 issue of Car Audio end Electronics on page 22 is the review of PGs Roadster 66. Haven't read it yet, had to tell you all first.

As well there is another shout out for the RSD comps in a section called "Hi-End A/V" along w/a nice mentioning on the Clarion DRZ9255 which starts on page 66 (go figure it's a 66 theme).

I'm go to read the review now. Gu-bye!

Very cool.

The "legacy" might not still be there for some PG enthusiasts, but the performance still is :D

rsd 1200.1

Post by thedeal7235 »

i didnt even know my nephew has a 1200.1 rsd; anyways, his punishment, b/c he used my zx450 and zx350 for years and messed up the zx450, luckily i saved the zx350!, is that i pulled it out of his car and we tested it in my work truck, and wow, what a nice class d mono amp, and this was on 2 4ohm dvc's, so when we measured the watts it was at 802rms, respectably and I LOVE IT! And, if you check on ebay the price is RIGHT! So, Im sure the roadster is nice, but i think its a 500.4 and 600.1 under same chasis, incase noone knew, seems typical , like the reactor(zx450+zx500) so forth and so on-

Cecil, if for whatever reason you want to play with a 66, mine is collecting dust in a random closet next to my old pantings and collection of random subwoofers.

Why thank you Ahsmo, but I have a agenda right now that limits my time at this point. I don't see any free time for at least a month, maybe a bit more. I will keep it back in my mind though, And I appreciate your offer kindly :) After my planned agenda clears I might like to take a peak inside, and test your 66. I always thought that two of these in my Suburban would rock....C :)

I'm pretty sure every PG special edition amplifier was just two different amps from that line in a single heatsink. All except, well... the MPH 6300 and the Bandit, which was a single amp.

a 1200.1 would have made the unit too big for most shock tower spacing.
