doing these for a bmw e30

started life as a flat plastic panel

i attached the tweeter cup with some hot glue and a single screw.

next i stretched tshirt fabric over the whole thing and hot glued it in the back

after that was secure i painted over the whole thing with resin and dabbed on some fiberglass mat for strength. when they were dry, i cut away the excess and lightly sanded them

next i filled the imperfections and sanded smooth. this takes a couple times.

lucky since they are small this goes fast. they are now ready to be covered. i'm going to use paint...but i'm not doing that today...i'm going make sure the filler is completely cured

I will snap some pictures of them as they sit, and also after I paint them. Should be on that project today or tomorrow.
