there is a BIG difference between a .5 and a 950 both in size and availability.

What are your thoughts more in depth? I would like to know. The dimensions are as follows:

elite.5
23 x 10 x 2.6

ZX950
17 x 15 x 2

950's are not that easy to come by. While they were not officially a limited edition amp I thought I read there were less of those produced than the reactor they were a copy of. I read there were less than 100 950s and 500 reactors... I only ever got to install one and I was thankful it was going into an expedition and they didn't care if we took up the entire back end. The .5 isn't a small amp by any means but its shape is a little easier to work with in my opinion. I would be happy with either powering my system honestly....

Yeah I see the elite.4 around it seems pretty common. I just dont have the room for 2 of them.
