Only time I had an alt die on my I attributed it to installing underdrive pullies to try and squeeze a few hp out of it.

out of curiosity what do they want for them down there? If its cheaper I have middle a lot of transactions for our members out of the country and could ship you one purchased from here. Only issue would be if you needed warranty work of course but hopefully with the price of the elites that would not be an issue. Got mine last year and can't wait to hook them up but unfortunately I have to get the car back on the road first.

honestly I am surprised its not more.... But having an amp like that down there must be instant street credibility at any car or stereo show as long as its installed as well as it deserves too be.

Taking into consideration the market recommended price is $1499 (as advertised on other US sites) and that the distributor is including shipping, customs and tax, I also felt that I got a pretty decent deal.

that is what I thought as well I figured it would be well around the $2500 range myself. That is with the customs duty paid too?! I wonder how many actually make it down there just out of curiosity.

Does the Elite.5 use the same output devices as the Elite.4?

@ end of month I'm gonna go Elite, but for u members that have them, I can't seem to decide, .4, or 5? I notice the 4 has the" dual MT200( sanken output devices) what is/are the TO3 package output devices for the 5,& sonically how would they compare? Thanx in advance( if I go .4 ill just bridge the rear channels to my subs, vs. using 5th hybrid D on the 5)

I thought they all used the sanken output. I would say go .5.
