Happy 10th Anniversary to PhoenixPhorum

Post by LeggoMyEggo »

Did I miss the announcement somewhere? Just looked at my profile and realized my 10th anniversary of PP membership is about to occur. I know there were others a month or so before me so 10 years has passed already I guess.

Props and thanks to Tom (stipud) for keeping it going for so long.

I know this place doesn't get the traffic it used to, but how many brand specific car audio forums exist? This one has made it 10 years! I remember when I stumbled across the phorum nearly 10 years ago, joined, and felt right at home amongst other PG enthusiasts.

its only been 4.5 years for me but it has flown by. In that time I went from buying a blown zpa0.5 to creating the registry website, and owning 2 franks, 2 MS-1000s, 2 outlaws, 2 route 66s, 8 ZPAs, every MS, most M series, and countless other PG goodies.

sheesh PG is a drug and most of us are addicted. This phorum just helps fuel the fire.

I think the Soundbuggy forum only lasted about a year, and was more of a quick solution to PG pulling the plug on the original forum.

Looking back it was an experiment destine to fail with me moderating it. I was not nearly mature enough at the time (and likely still am not) to hold any position of "power" in anything online.

I am pretty confident had I not argued with such hostility with so many people on the original PG forum, PG might never have pulled the plug on it. But that is hard to tell. I think PG has been through three owners since that forum, and any one of them could have taken it down at any time.

Holly crap time has flown. I'm going on 8yrs......

Still my fav forum. Haven't been on in a few months. Dealing w personal health issues and working my ass off. Plus I started a bike build in the summer. Here a pic of day I got her and currently.

I do miss how chatty this forum was the first couple yrs when I joined. Y'all were so awesome. I was on here more than MySpace or FB [emoji15] I went from having my first two PG amps....mq430 and ms275 too this ridiculous and beautiful collection I have now. Btw more not in the pic.Image

I really wish Aamp would get more involved on here and all for tech support and all.

Would really help get more traffic on the forum.

Oh wellImage

It has been a while. Was just casually browsing just now and saw where tom made a brief apperance, same as brian and a few others.

I mentioned this phorum and linked it on the fb page where a lot of old regulars are now and invited pg newbies.

Thanks man. Glad too see ur still around too!

Saw mr. Tibbs post on here too recently.

Man oh man i miss the good ol days.

Soeaking of which, morgan popped his head in on the fb page recently. I was flabergasted.

Hes still out in china working and living.

Lots of oldies here. Ive only been around for 5years but I’d like to think that I’ve made some contributions in those 5 years. Looking at my early posts I’ve learned a ton and made quite a few friends. Best brand and best fans in the industry. The company has had its ups and downs but that’ll never take away the old school lines.
