SX2 Amplifiers Released!!

Post by caraudiotech »

Hey guys exciting news, just wanted to let everyone know the new SX2 amplifiers are shipping. Other than a real throwback design with a modern touch, they have some very unique features such as:

Bass Shift (180 degree phase adjustment and level from listening position via included remote).
All models are full range class D. Meaning if you want a crazy front stage with gobs of power, the SX2 1200.6 can be configured to run your 3-way components active and then add a second amp for sub duty. Or maybe you want crazy channel separation, run a pair of SX2 600.1's on left/right channels.

Monoblocks are Strapable or Linkable.
Strapable (common feature) means creating a single larger amplifier, for either 1200 x 1 or 2400 x 1.

Linkable for multi amp setups driving similar loads. In Linked mode, you can have the master amp control the slave amps allowing for no loss in signal, only need to adjust crossover, level and other settings on Master amp. Slaves will mimic adjustments of master. Great for multi-sub amp setups.

Lots of other specs to dive into on the website if you like.

Not on the first couple runs of production, we weren't going to do them originally because we were trying to avoid having the amps taken apart. That decision has since been changed and we will add some to SX2 in an upcoming production run.
TI3 will have them as well and they are already identified....

I don't know of anyone that specifically took an amp apart for the easter egg. I think it was just a bonus for when we were in there.

Impressed so far. The SX2 1200.1 looks very stout.

Plenty of parts (looks overbuilt for its ratings), nice durable looking terminals, and I also like the easy and cheap to replace ATC style fuses.

Give us some guts of one of the full range stereo models!

For a premium amp from a premium brand, I am surprised no Tiffany RCA connectors, but that's not a deal breaker at all.

so does pulling the cover void warranty or anything fun like that since you have on board fuses by the look of it? By the way these are the better looking of new series of amps to me personally I may have to do an install :)

I'll try but we sold out of the first shipment. Will do when there back in stock.

warranty is honored as long as no internal modifications. you do not have to pull the cover for fuse access only the side panel (and they should never blow if properly fused externally) they are a failsafe.
