Re: I'm starting a rebuild.
The black vinyl wrap can't be beat! I put it on everything.. That box looks sick! I'd keep it all black. Seeing that sure makes me want to get off my ass and get my 2 elite.12d put in! If you were to wrap the inside of the port, would that affect the sound output? I haven't done any ported boxes eve...

Re: sub choice. poll!!!!!!
Lol too funny, I just picked up a pair of 12.5lf's off kijiji for a good price locally. I don't know how you can't decide what to go with. The Spg555 is a far better sub just looking at it! I'll do a test tomorrow after the glue dries on the surrounds I had to fix on the 12.5s...

You'll only need the 1 Spg555, it'll blow your mind how good it is!

Re: sub choice. I own both just need imput
I'd put it as one of the best sounding subs I've heard. I've yet to hear my elite 12s yet to compare though. It's very tight and accurate for its size.. I was impressed with it overall.

Re: sub choice. I own both just need imput
Spg555 all the way!! It takes a nice small box sealed, nobody will believe you only have 1 sub back there. I ran 1 with a zx500 @ 2 ohms, it made the skin on my skull vibrate!!

Re: Pg warrenty
Shine a flashlight into a vent off the side, you'll see the coil is probably starting to unravel like the one I have.. maybe that's why they put that black coating over the coil..

Re: Pg warrenty
I'm pretty sure I got one from the same guy too. I hope it's good, haven't had the chance to try it yet. Just wondering, did the voice coils just unravel or did they actually burn out? I got a broken elite shipped to me by mistake the other week, the cone didn't move at all, but there is still separ...

what is the green/white down in the grill? Love the aggressive hood. I am looking at a similar style for my mustang called a cobra-R(styled after a ford mustang race car) but I want to get carbon fiber and have just not pulled the trigger yet. Thats my license plate, I just photoshoped the numbers..

That looks f'n killer man. Did you handle the install(s)? Clean car, clean system. Gotta love it.LL Everything is done by myself, with some help from a couple friends from time to time.. Seems every time I've dropped a car of mine off somewhere to get some work done, something comes back broken or ...

Re: Yeddy's GTO
any difference acoustically speaking? The mid side of the amp seems to be a little more powerful then the zx450. I hooked up the amp without the eq's first off to compare. I tend to like it more. The sub channel at 2 ohms is a lot weaker then the zx500 at 2 ohms, but I knew it would be. I'm gonna h...

Re: PG 7.1 home setup
It should lower the heating bills in the winter, but raise the AC bills in the summer! My computer already does that. If I were to run the surround sound off the computer like Yeddy the room could double as a sauna. LOL Ah too funny, I was running a tri-sli GTX 480 setup in my pc before I upgraded ...

Re: PG 7.1 home setup
I am planning on something similar in the future, likely with the 7 channel Ti amp, and two other amps around 500 watts a piece to power a pair of 10's and a pair of Cyclones. Well I might sell off the 900.7 and use the 600.2 for the center and the 500.4 for the surrounds instead. so much to decide...
