Are there any passive loc as i still cant the gain adjusted properly as the components will shut off when adjusting the gain? Maybe a cheap line level adapter is causing this? I had the amp set at 40 hz and the gain like half way i think its 4volts but every click of the head unit would increase the...

system sounds good but cant even get to 1/2 way on volume, if i turn doen the gain speakers shut off. Gain is around half way. basically every click from the beginning gets louder. I cant quite it down like it was in stock?

i installed the PHOENIX GOLD 6.5" 240w COMPONENT SPEAKERS RSD65CS Phoenix Gold RSD250.2 200-Watt 2-Channel amp the adapter is onnected to the rsd. I turned the adpator all the way up and set the amp, sounds pretty good and these babies can pound!

i can olnly reach the pots on the adapter, where would i read the voltage on that?

u mean turn the adaptor gains up to like 3/4 and have the gain on the amp all the way counterclockwise then start turning it clockwise till it sounds good?

As of right now the loc is only at 1/4 and the gain on the amp is set at halv aprox 4 volts i believe.If i turn it clockwise torwards 8 volts speakers shut off and think the protective circuit kicks in. so what do i do, turn the inline level adapter to 1/2 or 3/4 then measure the speaker terminals o...

just installed the 6.5 components in my ford escape 09 and boy oh boy did they blow away the stock and the bass from them is unreal!! Just have to set the gain on the amp but i am using a line level adapter and do i set it max or what to ensure my gain is ok?

How do i know what my stock 09 escape headunit rated voltage output is?

yes, i just bought a inline connector with a remote wire in it, so i'm all set!

So then u could do the same thing by putting it to the fuse box as well.

and what do u do with the test light? What am i looking for? What about just running a wire to a fuse that turns on when the key is turned?

So where can i hook up the remote wire??
