Re: M44 setup questions in 2003 VW Jetta.

I have in the past worried about the different input voltage and matching of the higher output of hi end eclipse units. 8v output into a m44 would get maxed out real quick and then you have the zx which can take more. Active option I guess would give you control of matching those up better but the s...

Re: Working with silver solder on newer amps

Thanks did the normal thru hole repairs and all is good got the amp up and running all new caps. It's a Xtant 1000.1 D super clean. Had it in my old 94 bmw 525 touring with 2 old school eclipse 8810's it was one of the tightest cleanest sub systems I have ever heard.

Re: Zpa0.3 & zpa0.5

Just did 2 zpa 0.5 amps

Digikey
493-1544-nd 16v 6800uf
P6668-nd 35v 15000uf
P6692-nd 50v 12000uf

On the 0.5 you have enough room to go 45mm height wise. Cant tell you how many hours I spent on the digikey sight looking these up. Hope it all goes well.

For future refs on caps for zpa 05 I picked the P6692-nd 120000uf 50v they are 35mm w 45mm h p6668-nd 150000uf 35v 30mm x 45mm 493-1544-nd 6800uf x 7.5mm x 40mm The 35v caps need to be no larger than 30mm width not enough room in the middle. Seems to be room to go up to 45mm in height on the zpa. Im...

I opened the amp back up and it has the 35v 8200uf black caps in it. I thought I have seen some with the blue caps and thought they were 50v 10000uf. I found a 35v 18000uf that will fit 35mm x 35mm any reason I should up the voltage on these caps
