I'm glad you like it. I still feel a little remorse for selling it. That amp sounded like much more power than rated.wooferdog wrote:thanks for the MQ.

Re: Need help bridging a 475ti
Yes sir I have. I do however appreciate the help on this one. I ended up using my Zapco Z300 to power my midbass... It does a very nice job btw. Thanks again!

Sounds good! Thank you for the help.dwnrodeo wrote:Yep, sorry, I had a typo. Should say Front Left + and Front Right - for the left midbass and Rear Left + and Rear Right - for the right midbass. It will work without a Y adaptor this way.

Re: Need help bridging a 475ti
I see... If you read his post above he had a typo when dexcibing where to put the speaker wires. confused me a little. I tried pluggin into just the front inputs then installing the speaker wires as stated above and it didnt work. Using y adapters was the only way it functioned properly.

Re: Need help bridging a 475ti
In the manual is states to use left positive and right negative. So it is telling me to run one speaker wire set to the front and one to the back. What you're telling me to do is to take my positive and negative of a particular speaker and split it between front and rear channels. :O I'm confused.

Need help bridging a 475ti
I've tried with no luck to bridge the amp but am having no luck. The manual gives little reference to this. Can someone please let me know where to plug the rcas and the speaker wires to make this work! I want to bridge it to my midbass at 250x2. Right now I'm using 75x2 and it isnt enough. Do I nee...

Re: ZX475ti Cap Replacement
You probably don't need to change the caps unless you just want to play with your iron. I have never seen a Ti amp have caps go bad yet (for the reasons the ZX and other old PG amps do). I have seen a Ti with bad caps due to abuse, but it was some serious abuse. That's cool. I really didn't want to...

Re: 475ti to run Dynaudio MW160?
The 600 is a beast! But the 500.4 should give you an extra 100w/ch. I'm thinking that the 500.4 might open them babies up. I'm really looking forward to feeding my Dyns some power!... 100w/ch isn't enough in my opinion. Still curious if any of our members have tried using the ZX475ti in this configu...

475ti to run Dynaudio MW160?
Hi all! Haven't checked in in a while, hope everyone is doing good. As you can see from my sig I've switched a few things up. Just curious if anyone has bridged the 475 on midbass? I felt my Dyns were terribly underpowered at 100x2 and wanted to open them up. I picked up a 475ti on DIY and am planni...

Hmm. I see. I'll just use the spray and damplifier. My main objective will be to get a nice tight seal. I'm gettin excited!ttocs wrote:with that size speaker you will not have to worry too much about flexing, and would probably not gain much from it

Re: 99 528i - Ti5 Elite frontstage tweeter substitute?
I would probalby put the damplifier on the inside as that stuff is thick and that piece looks like it is pretty tight fitting. Maybe just spray the outside with the rubberized undercoating sprays they have out now. Thanks for the advice! I was actually considering that thinking the same as you abou...

Re: 99 528i - Ti5 Elite frontstage tweeter substitute?
I won't be going with the tupperware on this one. The E39 has a hard plastic enclosure in the front doors. I plan on spraying the entire inside with spray deadener and putting a layer of Damplifier pro on the outside. The enclosures provide quite a bit more airspace than the average tupperware so I'...

Re: 99 528i - Ti5 Elite frontstage tweeter substitute?
I used the tupperware trick with my Silverado. mounted tupperware on the back of q-form kickpanels and it REALLY helped. This time around my car has small sealed enclosures built in so I plan on deadening them well and using them.

Re: 99 528i - Ti5 Elite frontstage tweeter substitute?
I appreciate all of the responses. I'm just going to go ahead and use the set with the existing tweeter. I have some other ideas for the scans. I've read a few reviews stating that the ti5 mids like to be in a small sealed enclosure... I plan on using my stock moulded enclosures in the doors. I will...

Re: 99 528i - Ti5 Elite frontstage tweeter substitute?
Don't bother, as the crossover is strongly paired with that tweeter. It won't sound right with anything else. Hmm. I understand what you're saying. So how is the pg/morel tweeter? I hear it's pretty much an MT-23... am I correct? Maybe i'll just use the set with the tweeters intended for it. I'll p...

99 528i - Ti5 Elite frontstage tweeter substitute?
Well guys I ended up getting rid of the 3 series and bought an E39. I sold a ton of my gear lately to help out my brother with some issues he was having. Anyway... I just bought a used ti5 set from one of our members to replace the factory crap in my frontstage. The tweeters I'm sure are very nice b...

Re: Check out my new baby
Thats a sweet car! my sub setup is almost identical to that. I'm going to vent through the rear speaker openings after removing the rear fill. The hybrid Legatia L6 mids are gonna be a tight fit for my doors but i'll make em work. I'll also be using Hybrid L1pros in the stock tweeter locations. I'll...

Re: Check out my new baby
Thanks for the compliments and the criticizations. I love the wheels. As for the rubber band thing... these things ride as smooth as the original 16s. The M3 came with 19" wheels so this isn't too far out of character. To the stinky nose on my wheels... I love them. 8.5" on the front and 9...

Hi all! Here's an updated pic after I got a tint job done, clear corners and side markers, and added 19" staggered wheels and tires. Almost ready to start my install... just waiting to get a basscube remote made. I think the car's lookin pretty slick.
