Re: Efficiency of different amplifiers at different loads
The music i play is hardstyle, house with fast hitting beats, I see the voltage going down every time the bass hits, not only on low bass, also on midbasses... I have the ti elite 5 active on a zpa 0.3 and it uses all of the 150 wrms. When I play rap (hate rap but I like the bass) with longer bass n...

If it doesn't work, just snip the connector and put a new connector on 180 degree turned

Efficiency of different amplifiers at different loads
Hello. As I'm just curious I would like to know how efficient the pg amps are/where. Especially the older ones, like the zpa. I know that a clas a/b amp has a +/- 60% efficency, but decreases as load gets lower. Now, I have a modified zpa 0.3 running 2 ti212d2, what will efficiency be of a zpa on a ...

Hey zeropoint!
I like it to sound good, but it Will never be a real sq setup.
Your right about the fans making more noise, but i dont realy mind.
When (if...) i get a new car and make a sq setup I can stil make it quit withe the pannaflows.

Re: ZPA 0.3 v1 fan issues.
if I recall correctly those v1 fans had issues. I would try just replacing the fans first. I used to sell v1 Zpa amps and they seemed to have that problem but the v2 were "fixed". they had different fans and IIRC they had more fins on them too. I would try that first. The v2 fans had LESS...

Re: ZPA 0.3 v1 fan issues.
Hey! I replaced those current limiting resistors with some of a lower value (51ohm 3 watt wire wound)and I replaced the fans with the original (new) adda fans and now they both work perfectly. Except that the "good" one still kickstarts at a higher rpm, but I don't care. I replaced the pow...

Re: Input stage caps. (Dc offset...)
Hey guys! Well, just wanted to share something. Today I recieved some parts to get my last zx475 working. This zx475 I wanted to use as a reference to set bias on all other amps. Turns out that 1.7 mv is a not to high setting, so I set all zx ti like this. While I was at it a tryed some new input tr...

Re: Is this acceptable?
Have you measured continuity between al the mosfets legs?
These are close to each other so if a tiny piece of wire or solder contacts another leg, you might get problems.

Re: ZPA 0.3 v1 fan issues.
Hè branz! I allready tested with the fans from my other zpa, no difference. But I don't really care. The fans start working shortly after turn-on, and as long as the work, it's fine. I would like to replace the current limiting resistors to a lower value so the fans get more current, that way they s...

Re: ZPA 0.3 v1 fan issues.
You mean those two resistors where the board has discouloured.
Checked those, the turn out fine...
Does anybody have an in repairable zpa? (Guess not...)
Then I can take that board an replace it.

ZPA 0.3 v1 fan issues.
Hello! As the title says, I got a zpa 0.3 from Italy, not in the best condition, but it doesn't look bad. Took it apart to check for stay wires and to clean the board a bit I see that ther are niche on 8200uf ps caps so I don't have to recap it, but I checked for leakage anyway, but I will replace t...

Re: Input stage caps. (Dc offset...)
Sooooooo, this morning i die some small checking. Checked for shortage once again, to be sure. Checked the replaced powersuply fets (irf3205, these are a bit higher so you have to vile some of the screws (what's the word... Take some material of the screws that hold the plate to the fets, otherwise ...

Re: Input stage caps. (Dc offset...)
Hey tricky! Today I checked dc offset again. When I put my fingers on an output, the dc offset goes down, the channel with 30 mv offset went down to 1, 2 mv, just like the "good" channel. I took a small piece of metal and some thermal pass and glued it on the backside to see what happen, e...

Re: Input stage caps. (Dc offset...)
Yeah, I'm glad I fixed this haha, my first amp to repair myself, with some help on info offcourse. Like zeropoint0.5, he gave me part numbers for upgraded fets. I just started a few weeks ago with doing more then only listening to these amps until it broke, and replacing it with another. The info on...

Re: Input stage caps. (Dc offset...)
Hey Eric! Yeah, I measure the offset on the speaker outputs, but I will try measuring on the input ground. But where is it? As for the picture, I only have one where I allready scraped the lacquer of. And it's not that sharp. But I'm pretty sure that there are more titanium 600.2 with the same fault...

Hello! Soooow, today i fired-up my titanium600.2 on wich I replaced al power transistors and powersuply mosfets with upgraded ones and replaced the power supply capacitors for the recommended Panasonic FCC series 5600uf. It fires up nice, and it plays realy nice! So the work I,ve don on it for now d...

Just replace the ps. caps and measure the dc offset Youssef, caps always need to be replaced and can be doen easily bij yourself, if youre just a bit handy...
Dc offset is a good reference for the State your amp is in..
Good luck!
