Re: This place has been crazy dead... I think I hear an echo
Another problem with the new forum software was an influx of bots. I had to switch new members to "approval required" for posts. I noticed there was a backlog since January that I hadn't approved yet, so I just promoted a bunch of y'all to moderators to help keep this place going. New mods...

Re: This place has been crazy dead... I think I hear an echo
Traffic really dropped after the site upgrade. I think our search engine ranking took a big hit. The old forum had quite a few custom plugins to help with that. Also PG took our link off their website. So without new traffic coming here, it's up to people bookmarking and visiting. But y'all got othe...

Re: What happened to the Phoenix Gold website??
So here we are in 2022. PG has some pretty mehhhh full-range class D amps and coaxials. I can't really blame PG/Stinger for slowing down on the high end gear. Let's face it, this market isn't what it used to be. There were some fun moments in the Phoenix Rebirth era... Zen.9 springs to mind. But did...
Re: new cnc
The hobby ended and the job started the minute you had a dang skid loader fit it into your house. That's hardcore man! Have fun with it.

Looks like the increased spam settings were too hardcore. I removed recaptcha v3 and brought in a custom new sorting option. We'll see how that goes for a bit. Hopefully it keeps the spammers out, without rejecting the cool peeps...

This place has been slow for awhile. PG took our link off of their homepage, and as a result, our page rank dropped from the first page to the 4th in Google. Also Facebook picking up, forums declining in general, and a bunch of key users moving out and having kids... *ahem*. It is what it is. But I ...

I have an old Asus DirectCUII Radeon R9 290 4GB, but it is a 6+8 and shipping from Canuckistan is probably not worth it

Re: Board Upgrades
Thanks Jason, miss you all too! Sadly I haven't really had a working "fun" car in about 8 years. Always some broken old shitter in my parking spot. I just give up due to lack of time, money and interest. Don't have any friends around that like to work on this stuff, and with kids and job I...

Board Upgrades
Hey gang, long time no chat! I started getting problems with our hosting provider because the board was so out of date. This version is 9 years newer... This means all the plugins and such that we had before will be disabled (risk for some more spam!). Ugly default theme for now. Will work on gradua...

Re: Phoenix Gold Subs and "Bass I Love You"
I've played that song so many times on so many PG subs...
Be careful if you've got a ported box. The good news is on the ultra low frequencies, you can hear the sub hitting its mechanical limits much easier, because you can't hear the bass as much!

Including polyfill. Boosted end shows 12db/oct rise at 50Hz, approximating cabin gain. Red: 15" long port Orange: 12" Yellow: 9" Green: 6" I think 9" looks pretty good. However, I think Mr. Wild may be correct about using two ports. The vent velocity of a 4" port gets p...
