As this is the Phoenix Phorum, here's what matters: Any of the vintage PG amps will run ANY woofer down low so long as it is mounted in a door properly, with a secure baffle playing into the dor, back/front wave separation, and door deadening. Right now I have the front two channels of an MS1000 pla...

The REAL REVIEW of MS1000 & MS275
I've had these badboys for a few months now.....and it's now REALLY dialed in thanks to my boy Vu who is a home audio guru and knows how to tune. So anyways, to people who want to have an amazing amp and are willing to spend several hundred or over $1k for an amp, just look for an MS1000 and buy it....

Thanks guys....it sure is a fun sight to behold. :) Not sure about current draw as these things can be tough to predict, but with 340 watts x 4 channels, ...

PG MS1000 & MS275 installed!
Finally got it installed and it sounds and looks great!! http://galleryfellippe.fotopic.net/p42551071.html It's not even properly tuned...gains set too low...but the improvements are already obvious. These two clearly are legends that make Phoenix Gold a world class player in the audio scene. That M...

Ugh!!! Everything is installed and working, BUT the right side of my front stage!!! :( One channel off the MS1000 apparently isn't working....passive crossover, rcas supposedly have been checked. A friend mentioned that perhaps a fuse has blown and it's that simple?? In an amazing coincidence, we ha...

The MS1000 & MS275 are almost installed!!
I dropped the car off tonight...and the monsters are ready to go in! :) :) Only issue is that the installers were concerned about how much current these amps draw (as they remember these amps from their heyday). A lot of concern about voltage drop, and if I'm not careful, blowing speakers... My good...

BDUBS: My friend told me that cap replacing would be okay, but doubts replacement caps are of the same quality as of yesteryear for sake of price (hence his belief why older amps are better than newer ones on average). How can you confirm replacement caps are as good or better than original? THUMPER...

Just picked up MS1000 & MS275!!
Hey guys, I'm new to the forum. I discovered it from another website by someone who owns these amps...haha. Anyways, my friend the audio purist extraordinaire tells me these two amps are amazing and will blow away my current setup (which consists of some expensive modern name brand gear). The MS275 ...
