Re: Receiver Options

I ended up getting an Marantz 8002 a few months ago, and am very happy with it. It does run hot, and can be a challenge to navigate but it sounds great and has everything that I need. Plus it didnt break the bank.

Re: Finally going to get serious(ish) about HT, questions

I cant speakfor the RSDC, butI used a Xenon 12" in a custom box andit worked great. Granted, the box will play a big role in the sound,so you may want to look into playing with winISD to find a box size abit more suitable. I went with a ported and tuned it very low, considering the LFE details ...

That is a big ass amp. How many amps does that thing pull? And honestly, why would you need that much power unless you own a dance club?

I second paypal. Or if he wont do that, wait until the payment clears until (it's fully deposited into your account) you send it. Anyone serious shouldnt have a problem waiting the extra 3-5 days.

Re: 4 Gauge knuconceptz power wire question

Another thing to consider is that 1/0 will have a little more difficulty in the installation. If you are taking out the seats/carpet, then it shouldnt be an issue. But if you were planning on tucking it under the carpet near all the trim, you may have some issues. I ended up going with 1/0 and 4 fro...

Yeah, that suprised me as well. I didnt realize it until i sold a camera and they took about $50 from it. Then you add the damn paypal fees that ebay gets and its about 11 or 12%. Id rather post to craigslist and deal with all the stupid locals

Unfortunatelythe new Ivy Bridge processors are pushed backto late Q1 2012 now. I would assume april or May for those. That being said, I dont think you will be seeing any significant price reductions on the current lineup. It looks like you can get a pretty nice i5 setup with average specs for aroun...

Re: Bought a new car today

A chevy dealer (berger chevy) around here has some pretty awesome camaro's. They are based on the 2SS, then adds a body kit, new wheels, and supercharged. They look much 'meaner' in real life than the stock ones. I think they are only making abotu 50 of them. The green is a bit much, but the orange ...

Re: How do I fit these in my doors?

I put mine under the front seat. It is only about an extra 5 feet worth of wire running tweet and woofer line from there. Its a whole hell of a lot easier than trying to fit them somewhere behind the door panel where the window will most likely hit it when rolled down.

Re: Anyone brew thier own beer?

Yeah, it looks like it can get very involved. Im still really in a debate about this. Basically I am looking at $200 to get started, mainly because the wife is saying she doesnt want me boiling in the house. This means I will have to get a turkey fryer. But looking at my kitchen, I dont know if I wi...

Anyone brew thier own beer?

Im looking in to starting my own brewing for something to do. I have begun enjoying higher quality beers lately, and think this may be something I would be into. Is it realy a big pain in the ass? I just dont want to spend a lot of money and have it come out tasting like crap. Im thinking of just bu...

He has been playing unbelievably. Too bad Datsyk and Franzen are hurt. It was nice to see Modano out there again though. One thing is for sure, that bitch Thorton is going to kill someone the minute he knows it is over. He has been like a 4 year old out there trying to take people out the cheap way.

I guess I can understand it a bit more if you were in England, but the fascination the US has with it baffles me. These two will become major icons for the country soon, so I can understand giving the day off and celebrating it as a country. Im a little pissed that I have to turn on the TV in the mo...

Can you still change your PSN password if the network is off? I had my PSN account stolen a while ago and had to start a new one. The worst part about it is that you lose all your online game data.

We used welding cable in an SPL vehicle once. It got the job done, but thank god we didnt have to make many tight bends. Maybe it was just me, but the car specific stuff seems to ply a bit more.

Currently they are in boxes so I cant try at this moment. But going off memory, I think that they would ask for the user/PW and then fail.
