Just phoned the local anodsiers. Rough price without seeing it with dimensions I gave was £55+ VAT which includes stripping the original coating. Only problem he said might be after stripping it'll come out with a satin finish, not a shiny one. I'll get myself down there with the amp and see what's ...

Mine is mint, so I guess looking out for another case could be an option.

CBR I might take you up on that, but part of me would rather keep the original in true PG hoarder style!

What about the heatsink? Is that anodised or painted?

Re-anodising an Outlaw a different colour - sacrilege?

I'm wanting to try and keep a colour theme running through my install, the car is black but the interior has silver highlights (heater bezels, etc). The doorcards are going to rebuilt, using an alcantara that matches the current colour and the mids will have a perspex ring same colour as the cars ot...

Looks great. That 800.1 is a big mutha!

I like the Alcantara touches on the interior, this is something I have discussed doing with mine with Paul @ Source Sounds (they're doing my install, I don't have skill or time - and now money, lol!)

EQ215x / EQ230

Just thinking about EQ'ing, fairly certain it will be needed. I'll be running an Outlaw which I know has built in x-overs, but if I've read the manual right, the HP/LP will be the same, which isn't always the best option. Again if I read correctly, the 215x crossover points are fixed HP/LP??? So I w...

Nico is a true gent and a real assett to PP. I sold him an MS2125, he was very patient with me as I was faffing about due to not having my own camera (since bought one so no worries now). But it doesn't end there. After seeing it linked to on here, I was after the Outlaw for sale in the Netherlands ...

Did you buy Masons Outlaw? I too have one coming my way, looks like they'll be popular on TA!

Outlaw x-over question

Just had a look at the online manuals and need some confirmation.

The internal x-over when selected will low pass to one section and high pass to the other?

I have had a measure up in my car and it's just going to be too big.

Gutted as it's a stunning piece of kit.

Thinking about that one in the classifieds.

As soon as I can get my hands on a camera I'll get some pictures to you, I could send some from my phone but the quality is poor and I want to get you the best resolution I can so you're happy with what you're getting :)

Mounting an MS1000 with the board on display

What considerations need to be taken when mounting with the board on display?

I assume you can't mount it with the heatsink touching the back seat!

I had it setup using a scope - the headunit itself wasn't clipping even on full whack using a 1k test tone.

The 7944 has a 4v non clipping output.

Ti vs M

I'm sure this has been covered many times before and I've reckoned to have a look but not found anything.

How dows the Ti range (500.4 & 600.2) compare to the M range (M44 & M100) in terms of SQ / reliabilty / bragging rights, etc?

That's right, thanks for making it a little clearer HH

edit - just to be factually correct, that should have been 29 out of 35.

I have an Alpine 7944 with 4v preout and it clips my M100 at 29/33 with gains on zero.

So I would say it's not needed. I am however more than willing to be corrected if I'm wrong!!

Think I have some T-Cut kicking about somewhere, will see how that goes.

A good friend of mine owns a body repair shop, so I could always get it repainted, something I never thought about doing.

Cleaning / restoring MS

One of my MS's is a little discoloured (one on right), is there a way of cleaning this to restore it to it's former glory?
