Multimeter in Ohm mode:
the correct way.. it goes all the way (not digital), the opposite way it goes half way. same thing with the speaker output terminals.

I just dropped it off to a tech waiting for call/estimate tmrw.. *fingers crossed*

Re: System randomly started blowing fuses as soon as I put t

Here are the pics.. notice the white glue-like substance. there was a bit oozing out already when i bought it but i thought it was just glue.. meh.

most shops here said they couldnt fix it because its difficult to get parts but a local electronic technician said he should be able to.

On the right window.. where the 4 cylinders are.. I see that theres some white/clr substance (looks like semen lmao) that has leaked out of one of the cylinders and oozed out.

System randomly started blowing fuses as soon as I put them

Previously I was running a pg ti600.2 to a single 4ohm dvc type r. running at bridged at 2 ohms worked but i generated a lot of heat and fuses kept blowing, couple times a month. that amp is technically 'stable' at 2ohms but is not supposed to be run bridged 2 ohms for a long time. I then bought the...

Re: Help hooking my PG Ti 600.2 to a single Alpine Type R!

wanna update: top left of the amp gets hot then it goes into thermal. voltage i measure while it went into thermal.. on heavy bass it would drop down to 8-9volts, once amp goes itno thermal it will spring back up to 12-13. while bass is hitting, voltage at the amp hovers around 9-12. The AC voltage ...

10" is in a ported prefab box. Voltage issue would be what.. a prob with my capacitor and battery? I wanna point out that when I hooked it up 8ohms mono I had no problem whatsoever. No blow fuses, no thermal mode, no light flickering. Today it only went into thermal once. But I was playing at a...

Re: How do I check if mY PG cap is charged and working?

if its hooked up, its charged. You can test it by setting the meter to Dc voltage and then touching the leads to the top. You are supposed to use a test light or resistor to charge them, but you can also just slap them together. It will spark, and not what I do or recomend but it will work. DV volt...

Re: Help hooking my PG Ti 600.2 to a single Alpine Type R!

is the fan running and do you have a couple of inches of space around it to allow it to breath? Fans working on it and yes in sitting in my hatch, it literally has a couple feet. Seems like on bass heavy songs it only happens. Gain still set too high? Not to mention this is happening during a canad...
