Re: CDT Audio components or Utopias?
Focal KRX3 components.... plenty of volume and very crisp! YOU listen to every choice and let your ears decide. Alot of speakers sound good....sitting still, but most SQ speakers lack volume or only sound good "on-axis"....(home speakers??) Its the off-axis great sound you want!! Sent from...

Re: bass controller
Perfect solution for you... I've used HUNDREDS of these & they are perfect. When the knob is all the way down...you have ZERO bass/sound! It will not interfere with any of the sound, just a standard potentiometer ran inline with your RCA's. We usually take it apart & mount it where you only ...

Re: Are there any dealers here ?
The cleansweep will equalize the sound from your source (head unit). It does nothing for the acoustics of the vehicle. The MS8 does both & would be a better option. Just find a reasonable price online & visit your local stores to see if they can meet or beat that price. Just tell them your i...

Contact Alpine or your local Alipne dealer. They can order one for you, it couldn't be that expensive..

Re: Mis-conception about paying retail...
does that mean you are carrying PG Don? :) i like your approach to installs. too many get caught up on brands. i would take properly installed mid system over a 6k jl or focal system that was just dropped in any day. Hifibuys in Nashville probably will not carry PG for a while. During the Rodin exc...

They have some pics displayed in the waiting room. but most the owner has & it was tough for him to pull out.. You can see their website here: http://www.hifibuysnashville.com/mobile.php You can look for the Mastercraft X-Star boat on the second page of the pictures. It has some PG stuff... A pi...

Re: Mis-conception about paying retail...
I know Hifi Buys was a HUGE dealer for old school Phoenix Gold, PPI, RF, Stinger & ADS. They have tons of old pictures of installs from the early 90's.. I had the pleasure of learning from the old timers that work their. Most have been there 10-20+years!! ah..the stories of running a ENTIRE syst...

Biggest Stinger battery upfront (Measure & make sure you account for terminal posts...those + hood
) & another in the back.. I wouldn't use a Cap, just the batteries..

No welcoming yet... I'm 28yrs old, born & raised in Ashland City & Clarksville, TN... Moved to Nashville (Music Capitol) when I was 21. I started my journey when I was a teenager. Started installing systems into cars around 14 & all throughout high school. The day I realized I wanted to ...

Re: Kinetik power cells
I've personally used Kinteik, Optima Yellow/red, batcap & stinger... I didn't like the Optimas much, they are better than stock but didn't help much, Kinetik was good but it didn't seem to do what is was rated for..little sluggish.. The stinger was a beast & I still swear by it. Wouldn't use...

Re: Power Wire
The most common was they ran a piece of insulation in the MIDDLE of the copper to make the copper SEEM bigger... To the regular eye, it was alot of copper...This was by far the best sample wire I had collected! But it also said "AWG" on the box. Of course these were china kits & didn'...

Mis-conception about paying retail...
if they bought it from a store that would mean they would almost have to pay retail? This is a mis-conception... If you go to a Best Buy, or large chain store then yes.... If you go to a specialty store (small mom & pop) store that carries, let's say JL then MOST of them will help you out. I ha...

Re: Power Wire
That is the main difference in determining the amount of copper in the wire. If the company REALLY goes by the AWG standard then you should be ok.. BUT! I've had customers bring me CHEAP amp kits in that said "AWG" on the box & I knew something wasn't right.... One time the "AWG&q...

Another tip about using Kinetik or Stinger batteries.... Use ALOT of smaller ones instead of ONE large one
They tend to respond faster & seems to present a smaller load on the charging system

Re: Kinetik power cells
I have always read that any two batteries will always try to reach an equilibirum between each other and if one battery is stronger than the other, it will slowly drain the weaker battery. The isolator didn't allow that to happen. It is very easy to install, I would recommend it just for peace of m...
