If you want to use the hole enlarge it and use a one way flapper type valve...or make slots on oposite sides of the amp then trim them...presto happy amp.

brenz is right on....this was not a feature to get more power from the amps, just a solution to minimize noise from the power supplies.

With the ti's you need to give them as much power as you can, the limitation in that car will be your need for high amperage, on the order of 100 to 120 amps per sub, you will be able to get it done for less amperage by using digital amps, IMO you should go with the rsdc....for the tis-- if you ran ...

They are really old school zapco amps, i wanna say 75 x 2, everything was separate (power supply ect..) and there were three pieces to each one...

sorry for the long posts but there is more.... So after running parts for a while I started to work on customer cars... I remember my first install so clearly, WAJ-- 79 datsun 210 the guys in the shop were ltao, the dash had to be cut-- I swear it was like 3/16" steel, there was no room to work...
