I have just obtained a pair of the above mentioned subs and would like to install them into my partners mk3 v/w golf convertible. I'd like to know the ideal enclosure size for them, sealed and ported if possible please.

The PG LPL controllers will not work. The LPL is simply a potentiometer whereas the Bass Cube is powered and has a circuit board like the RF unit hence sweep control for centering your preferred frequency.
