I sold holmis 2 PG shrouds. After reading his feedback, I felt comfortable shipping them to Norway, and I don't regret it. His payment was fast and communication excellent--a real stand-up guy. You can feel confident in your dealings with holmis!

Re: New guy with questions
Sadly, mine is NIB no more. Not only did I install it, but my seat rail dragged across the top corner and put a big scratch in it. Dang! Oh well, no worries. I bought it to use it, not to look at it. Let me know if you want pics of the insides--AmpGuts doesn't have many pics of the AC stuff. I think...

Re: New guy with questions
My bad, I thought the 2250 was longer. I was just going by the dimensions on the FAQ:
Dimensions, MS2125, MPS2500
17.0"L x 11.4 "W x 2.4"H
Dimensions, MS2250
25.5"L x 11.75"W x 3.35"H

Re: New guy with questions
The MS2250 is longer than the MS2125, so the shrouds won't interchange. I just sold both shrouds, so you'll have to keep an eye out for one elsewhere. You could try running a WTB ad here or start a thread and see what pops up. Click here for the old PG webfaq with amp dimensions, ratings, etc for lo...

Re: MS and M capacitor replacement
Ever dive into a cold pool? That's shrinkage.   The plastic film around the capacitor shrinks due to prolonged and/or excessive heat. Those look fine but I don't think they're original units for an M. They may have been done already. Slide a cigarette paper under the cap and c...

Re: MS and M capacitor replacement
Thanks. The caps in the M100 are definitely swelling, but no leakage. No leakage in the MS2125 either but I think the big caps are starting to swell. It's hard to tell since they have been covered with a PG sticker/blue plastic wrap. http://i380.photobucket.com/albums/oo243/ohyouwillnot/Audio/IMG_19...

Re: New guy with questions
OK guys, it looks like the MS shroud is sold pending funds. I still have the shroud for the M100, so make an offer if you would like it. The M100 is not for sale at this time--sorry!

MS-2125 Fan shroud plug
Hey guys, Does anybody know what type of plug this is? I've got my MS-2125 upside down with the bottom plate off and I noticed that there is a plug on the board to power the fan shroud. http://i380.photobucket.com/albums/oo243/ohyouwillnot/Audio/IMG_1962.jpg My fan shroud had this plug attached to o...

MS and M capacitor replacement
Hey guys, I have a quick question regarding the replacement of capactors in my MS- and M-series amps. Do I need to replace all the little bitty caps as well as the power supply/rail caps? I have read the threads in the FAQ/How-to section and see no mention of this. I'm trying to figure out what it's...

That's what I was hoping to learn from you guys! I'd obviously like to get top dollar, but I don't have any idea what a reasonable price might be.pimpinest123 wrote:How much r u asking for them

Re: New guy with questions
I seem to remember that the shrouds for the M100 had a sheet metal part that covered the heat sink. I will have to dig a little deeper to find that thing. Who knows what else I might find?

New guy with questions
Hey, New guy here. Recently I put a NIB AudioControl System 90 Model 48 amp in my Escort powering some elderly door speaks and a vintage, original Obcon 10.1. This necessitated digging through all my boxes of vintage car audio crap and finding lost gems that I will likely never use. I came across so...
