I am a pro. mechanic, stay away from any Chrysler and dodge products. Chrysler makes some very poor products. The other mini vans seem to be decent, as far as mechanical.

it sounds like it is a problem in the differential with you saying a clunk and a grinding noise, but more than likely it is just a very worn out U-joint. If you have a friend handy, you can have them look at the drive shaft and see if there is play at the U-joints when you switch from forward to rev...

In my opinion, I would put it in the mirror. If you are planning to change to another one in a few years, the pod might be a better place for the display. That is a sweet set up either way.
