Re: 2006 GMC Sierra Duramax Install
Tuned some this weekend and this is the cleanest system I've heard in a long time. I'm stoked!

Re: 2006 GMC Sierra Duramax Install
fucking love this install. i've always loved the xs' and those "bars" are super slick. where did you make / buy those? only constructive criticism i have is you should finish deadening the doors to seal of the back wave of the mid. Thanks man! I've only ever owned the XS series. Was hooke...

Re: 2006 GMC Sierra Duramax Install
Thanks guys! Yeah the LED's have a glowing/breathing effect that looks sweet when powered up. Need to get a good video up. The sound is nice and clear for sure. I didn't expect the Elite 6.5's to sound so full and precise. I still need to tune properly as all has been done by ear. Tried the auto eq/...

2006 GMC Sierra Duramax Install
Finally got around to doing the install in my truck. Running a XS4600 for the front Elite 6.5 components and rear Titanium 6.5 point source coaxials. A XS2500 and Basscube running (2) 10" SL subs in a MTX thunderform sealed enclosure. (Actually sounds better than expected). A DD5 for a few acce...

Re: 2012 Chevy Silverado (Full Phoenix Gold Install)
Yeah, I will pull the whole headliner out of the truck for sure. Definitally gonna be easier to work with it out on the floor. I'm going to install digital amp and volt meters in a custom pod that fits in the cubby hole where my map lights are so it will be a good time for wiring them with headliner...

Re: 2012 Chevy Silverado (Full Phoenix Gold Install)
You both said what I've been thinking. Go big! I did order the shop pack of Damplifier Pro with 80 sqft, some Overkill and some Heat Wave Pro. Hope this gets me through most of the interior. I do know to remove the headliner in the crew cabs you have to remove either the windshield or rear window. M...

Re: 2012 Chevy Silverado (Full Phoenix Gold Install)
Questions on how much deadening you did. Did you just do the rear of the cab like you said in your first post? Why not the doors, firewall and such if you didn't do those? Is it really worth all the work? I've got a 06 GMC Sierra Crew Cab Diesel. Gonna do my system soon and want it very quiet inside...

Re: A conundrum?
If the measurements are correct for the subs, I have no issue with a prefab enclosure. I'd still go with R3's in that box though Lol.Sounds like you'll have a lot of space to pretty up the electronics under the seat, which should be pretty sweet. I'll keep you posted on the process and the sound. G...

Re: A conundrum?
Thanks again for the detailed info! You have for sure been through this before. :-) Now I'm nervous to say that I bought one of the MTX Thunderform enclosures. (Actually had it for quite sometime) It fits behind the seat and has 1.64 cu ft. Should be fine for both SL10d2's? I'll probably get s#@t fo...

Re: A conundrum?
Yeah I'm gonna stick to the shallow subs as to add all my amps and such beneath the rear seat. I'll have to loose a little of the heavy bass for that I know, but it's how I'm gonna do the layout. Done the wall amp rack many times and want to try something new. I'll do a write up with pics once I get...

Re: A conundrum?
Thanks for the input! Exactly what I was thinking as far as the components on the XS4600 and the subs on the XS2500. Believe me when I say I would like to just say screw it and get all new Elite amps, but as you know it's a dent in the cash stash.

A conundrum?
Ok.... Finally gonna start the install in my truck. All Phoenix Gold it will be. Wiring and such will be Stinger. Please see my signature below for what I have to choose from. As you can tell I'm a big XS fan. That being said..... Gonna be using the SL10d2's in a sealed box behind the rear seat in m...

Re: Question about XS2300 amps?
Interesting! I must be loosing it because I've got the PG manual links I study all the time and haven't noticed the 2 different versions on the XS amplifier page. Now I know. Thanks!

Question about XS2300 amps?
I'm a big fan of the XS series amps. Have quite a few. I'm curious though about something I just saw on eBay. I haven't really paid attention until now. I was watching an auction that just ended today. It was a XS2300. This particular amp had a subsonic filter and an Aux output. The power feeds were...
Re: Decks?
Thanks for the info fellas! Don't know if it helps though?
To many to choose from! Gots to make a decision quick as winter is coming and I want tunes before the cold comes. I'll let you know what I go with.

Re: Decks?
Budget doesn't really matter to me as long as I'm happy with the purchase. :-) That being said I did look at the Clarion NX-501 and it's pretty impressive as far as features compared with price. Wow actually! It's way cheaper than others. Seems very fluid on videos I watched. Might have to pay atten...
Decks?
Maybe this has already been discussed... But--> I was wanting some views on which decks everyone is using these days. I've always been a Kenwood fan just because of the spectrum analyzers. Recently retired an older KDC-X689 with lines feeding PG Amps of course. Loved the bouncing bars and d-mask! Ne...
