Re: 3 subs to choose from what would you use???

joerg wrote:Try to get the Focal back! BTW: It has Xmax of 9mm
That really isnt much. The Old SoloBaric S10 model had 13mm. The PG ti10's I have do 18mm one way.
The JL w7 has something like almost 30mm one way.

Re: A newbie (2phoenixphorums) w/ a bad clone....

Is the noise happening when it IN a enclosure or just sitting on a table?
Cause when the Cyclone is in an enclosure the noises change big time.
Most of the clicks and clacks go away.

Re: The ideal enclosure for the Ti12d's (not elites)

The buckling doesnt affect the sound but may be a hint there is an air leak waiting to happen. You should try to fix this. Take the screw out where its buckling. Use a flash light and inspect the screw whole and use a pointy object to see if you can pry up the surround where the screw was. Usually t...

Re: CYCLONE

Sorry bud. But not all speakers, including the Cyclone were meant for IB. And you cant use any sub in a IB setup. There are speakers specifically made for IB. You need a special suspension compliance. Some of the Rotary subs are worthy of IB. Not the Cyclone. But as I said before You can try. I have...

Re: A newbie (2phoenixphorums) w/ a bad clone....

I had 2 Cyclones. One was totally refurbed from PG like New. The new/rebuilt Cyclones will NOT make any grinding. When pushing the fins and letting go, they will move back in original position like a normal speaker cone. So to compare a cyclone to a normal speaker, imagine you are pushing on a subwo...

Theres no way youre gonna seal a car trunk. Youre gonna end up messin up that cyclone They are for sealed enclosures specifically to a certain airspace. But u can try. Just dont put more than about 100 watts on it in IB And make sure its cut off at about 30 to 50hz using a very high slope. 24db is r...

Back in the early to mid 90s the "In" thing was talking proximity alarms. You would walk next to a car or truck and it would say "PLEASE Step AWAY" LOL You could change the sensitivity to the proximity so it would only go off if someone touched the car or if you wanted it would g...

Hey there is a cyclone of ebay.. Unfortunately the price is in my opinion waaaay too high.
There is a offer option. But from my experience, when there is such a high asking price the offer button is usually useless.

Ok. I see now. Thanks I was reading some threads about the amp and some said there are 2 led's that turn red if there is a problem. I didnt see any Led's besides the Blue ones. And I didnt even know the Blue Triangle Led's are actually significant of power LOL I just thought they were decoration. So...

Re: Do I need a Line driver? Can I use 1 coil on a dual coil

I found the spec sheet for the Ti800.1 on google. Does anyone have the sheet for showing the Led codes?

I have no idea what the lights are for in the amp.
I just wanna know what they are for if they start going off suddenly.

Thanks

Re: A newbie (2phoenixphorums) w/ a bad clone....

I had a cyclone that did the same exact noise. When I would push the fins with my fingers it sounded like sand was in the motor. Grinding I ended up selling it for cheap. I then bought a so called rebuilt cyclone. That particular cyclone was also junk. I even sent it to PG for a rebuild. It came bac...

Re: Do I need a Line driver? Can I use 1 coil on a dual coil

The battery wire Im using is zero gauge. The amp is about 2 feet from the battery. My battery is located under the rear seat. The amp is in the trunk. The ground wires are next to the amp. The big 3 may work for others but in my situation it would not. Also I had a 1500 watt amp on the same subs. Th...

Re: Do I need a Line driver? Can I use 1 coil on a dual coil

Interesting. I did have a more powerful amp on these 10's The brand was Massive Audio Model P1500 An impressive amp for the money Only reason i sold it was cause I wanted the wiring all on one side of the amp due to my setup That amp never cut off or ran out of juice so to speak. Do you really think...
