I think if you remove the end plates. Mount the amps tight together . And make a one piece plexi to cover both of the amps
It would look great without allot of work.

Re: Score ?
I will when the lighting is right. And see if I can catch it.
Did you sell a 600.1 ? Did it go to Kentucky ?
Oh yeah, A 200.2 Onyx would work too.

Re: Score ?
I received it today..
It is sick ! In bright sunlight the powder used looks like it has a super fine Franked style flake to it.
Anybody have a 100.4 Onyx they want to part with ?

MS1000TA. Sooo Sexy.
A pair of 500.4 's take up the same space..
And how are they more efficient ? Both are class A/B's

I grabbed one off of Ebay.
The guy was local so we met to exchange.
Here is a gut shoot.
It sure looks legit.
The power and speaker connectors appear to be gold plated copper. not brass

Re: Daily driver system
I have 3 215''s in black- they definitely made them- seems like overkill on power for the 6's and the tweeters- A little. But it will add up to headroom. I will set the gains so it stays CLEAN. Here is mine. It's a little dusty and has some wear on the graphics. http://i159.photobucket.com/albums/t...

Re: Daily driver system
EQ215 in black? Are you sure it is not an EQ215ix? I never heard of an EQ215 in black, but that does not mean they did not make them. With the voltage your head unit has, I don't think you need the Tantrum line driver. Yeah, The head unit has 4v out but I figure that is max out. I am going to put t...

Re: M44 True RMS Voltage
Do you think a similar mod would work on the preamp section of the MS2125 ? No, the preamp section of all the rest (or so I think) of the MS amps are not broken. In every PG amp I have come across, the output section will clip before the preamp section does. This is as it should be. You don't want ...

Re: Leaking capacitor tutorial update
i would silicone or hot glue it down to keep it from breaking the leads from vibration. Has already been done  do you think I should do my QX series amps? They're a *bit* more recent, but not much... I don't think they use the same caps. It is all the early amps that use the 2200uF caps on th...

Re: Leaking capacitor tutorial update
Here are a few pics of my Outlaw I just did. It cannot be stressed enough that these caps need to be changed. If you cannot afford to change them right now. Do your board a favor and follow the directions and remove the old caps and clean the board. Just because you cannot see that they are leaking....

I like the look of the gold power supply caps.
What part # are they ?

Re: M44 True RMS Voltage
Yes, It is rated at 150 x 2 or 600 x 1 Your thermal calculations must be close Hence the 600 x 1 RMS rating. So, to me it would seem that it will to rated continues power of 600 x 1 But have dynamic headroom of 900 x 1 Does that sound correct ? I am new to this and I am still learning  And app...

Re: M44 True RMS Voltage
Ohm's law. The ZX500 is outputting 30 volts per channel. When you bridge a bridgeable amp you get a + & - 30 volt swing = 60volts. Your numbers are right, but it does not mean the amp will actually do that. With a test tone, you won't get 900W from a ZX500. With music, and some capacitance on th...

Is that because the power supply side will not be able to keep up ?
I just picked up a super clean black ZX500v2.
Are the power supplies in the M/MS series more up to the task ?

Re: M44 True RMS Voltage
Ok,
So if I read correctly how an amp works when bridged.
Then the ZX500 bridged will make 900 watts into 4ohms.
And an M100 bridged will make 729 watts into 4ohms.
Is that right ? seems like they were VERY underrated.

Re: Tantrum question.
It is.
I opened up one of my other 500.2's and it also has 2 resistors like this.
This is a USA made amp. When did the move Tantrum production O.S. ?
My other 2 do not have the made in USA stamp.

Tantrum question.
I recently purchased this Tantrum 500.2 off of Ebay. When I received it I heard something rattling around inside the amp. I opened it up to find one of the resistors floating around. It looked like a bad solder from the factory. I fixed it and everything seems fine. I am just wondering if this amp w...
