Looks really nice. Did the M100 come with a black label on the front from the start or did you add that?
Do you have a colour code (or even a link) to the paint you used for the heatsink? I have an M44 + M100 that needs the same treatment. :D

White heatsinks

Hi there, I'm (still) planning on how to do my ICE-install that will include a M44 + M100. I had a look at some of the installs posted here and now I want white heatsinks and black decals for my M-amps. Can I replace my originals sinks with original white ones, or is it possible to paint them withou...

Do I need a linedriver?

Hi,

my HU is a Pioneer DEH-P80MP (6v) and I'm wondering if I need a linedriver in my setup...The HU has rear/front/sub out but I'm not gonna put any rearspeakers in the car.

I have a M44 for the front, a M100 for the sub.

I came up with an alternative solution that might work without the fans for cooling. -and then I made a CAD-file so I can lasercut the PG-logo and glue it on the final result :D

Thanks, stipud. The program I use is SketchUp though... rdjorge> No ports. It sounds really nice, especially when you compare price and size. I've heard it in a competition car and it was   :D :D The sub needs minimum 40 litres but "people" say that the closer you get to 80 l...

Here's a pic of how I'm planning to build it with sub, fans, a condensator, amps and a front + plexi.

I've been told that especially on older amps like the M-series it's not a very good idea to enclose them as I plan to. They need minimum ½" clearance to cool properly. If it was a new amp (digital) I might be able to do as I plan they say... Anyone who tried what I'm about to do and wants to sh...

You might have to remind me...I won't be installed until sometime this summer due to examns and other boring stuff...But I got access to lasercutters at uni so I'll make the preliminary work/cutting before that. I also might install some "hinges" to make it possible to tilt the amps upward...

I like your 2 cents...

I have to place the amps sideways to fit it in the trunk of my car.

Next step will be to add plexi in front of the sinks to make a tunnel for the air to flow through...and then have the PG logo cut into the plexi as a fresh air entry. -On top of that fans on both ends.

Cooling fans for M100 + M44

Hi guys, I'm sketching a bit on a setup for my M100 + M44 (see pic below) and need some input when it comes to cooling/overheating. I'm gonna place the amps next to each other in a rather closed space as you can see... Since I hide away everything but the heatsinks, do I then need xtra cooling? My p...

I heard the amp play, not very loud but it played. He didn't say that the parts were missing, just that they need to be replaced.

Anyway...I'm gonna tell him to replace the caps and nothing else.

M44 transistors gone or what?

Hi everybody, I sent my M44 to a shop to get the caps replaced. Today I went by to ask when I could get it back...He said that the transistors on all four channels were gone and I need to buy eight new ones... I listened to the amp play before it was taken out of a car and put in my stash. I...

I actually heard the amp play before I bought it. Is that really possible with leaking caps? I read somewhere else that I should "Slip some clean white paper under each of the caps. It upon withdrawal the paper has any liquid on it, then your caps are leaking". There's no liquid on my pape...

I don't know sh** about it so any guidance is more than welcome.

Thanks for all the advice so far :)

Yeah, I was told about the leaking capacitors problem with the old M-series. So I took the lid of my stashed away amp to check...and well, you see the result. But I guess I can still save it, right? If I just hurry up and get it fixed right away. Is there any way I can clean the PC board? Do I chang...

Leaking capacitors?

Need an opinion...Do I have to replace the capacitors in this M44?
There's some dark "stuff" close to one of them...
Anything else I might need to be aware of?

The thing is that he has no XO at all and the ZPA XO's are difficult to find. So I'm trying to find an alternative for him. The bypass card is similar to this...??: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&item=280195508445&_trksid=p3984.cWAT.m240.lVI /Schaf...

XO for a ZPA 0.5

Hi,

as mentioned elsewhere, a friend of mine is looking for a XO for his ZPA 0.5. Are there any good alternatives to the build-in original?

The MX2 perhaps? I have one in my stash. -or what about the Phoenix Gold AX-204A? Haven't about it ever so please fill me in on that one.
